Sherlock immediately noted the familiar albeit faint scent of pine. Instigated by his thesis, the detective brandished a closer inspection of the doctor and administered his conclusions in what he felt would be a successful analysis.

"Rosin," he stated plainly. "The vague marks along your neck -- you play the violin. As do I. It's soothing. Helps you think and it can be quite introspective. I certainly hope you have time for it considering your chosen vocation for without music, life would be an error."

Perhaps that could be construed as flirting; at least as far as Sherlock Holmes was concerned.

Dael blinks rather dumbly at the shrewd analysis the man gives. "That - that is shockingly observant of you, sir, not to mention eloquently stated and a sentiment I quite agree with, besides." It's not quite a flirtation, but admiration, and that's the closest the young scholar could ever openly manage with a stranger, cheeks red and gaze flitting away.

"Had I been the one to do that," he stated holding up one of the many twigs he had found on his journey through the Constant, "It would have been slapstick. Hah!"

Perhaps that was a one-liner of some sort? Either way it could possibly be passed off as a flirtation at least where the young scientist was concerned.
