His temple was decorated with all sorts of decor, from magical singing pumpkins, to technological configurations to jump out at random. Sentinel didn't know what Halloween was truly about, but Nightmare told him he'd love it. Nightmare even helped Sentinel disguise his temple as a house and move it towards Nightmare's neighborhood. Sentinel sat behind his door with his bowl of candy, wondering who he'd meet on this fine night.
Clementine had allmos Filed her back by this point and mostly was doing it for fun by now. She went through the portal to see this place and looked in awe. Wow, she thought to herself as she got scared by one of the monsters jumping out at her. She laughed and went to the door and knocked. “ trick or treat” she said in a happy voice

Sentinel opened the door with a gleeful smile, holding out the enchanted bowl. "What a glorious costume! Feel free to grab some candy! It should give you your favorite candy."
Eliane (played by SavannahSmiles)

Eliane stared up at the house in awe as she approached. She had been to quite a few places at this point, but each new destination always excited her from how different it was than the last. The owner of this house didn't hold back in their decorating and Eliane spent a few moments admiring the decorations scattered around. As she was coming up the path, the sudden movement of a decoration had her yelping as something jumped out at her unexpectedly. Light flared around her hands for just a moment, her abilities activating from the momentary surge of adrenaline from the jump-scare. Inhaling a steady breath, she pushed forward and approached the house. A pair of black cat ears sat perched on top of her head and she had pinned a cats tail to the back of her shorts. It had taken her a few tries but she eventually managed to paint whiskers on her face that didn't look crooked. All in all, it was a very basic costume, but she thought she had done well for her very first time dressing up. Stepping up to the door, she waited patiently behind the individual that was currently there, plastic pumpkin held between her slender fingers.
She grabbed sorting from the bowl and it was a crunch bar. “ wow you were right, thank you “ she said as she walked away and back into her portal
Seykal (played by Leighoflight)

This was all a very new thing for the Fei'Dae but the main thing he understood was it was a night of dressing up and free food that he didn't have to steal. People were actively giving it to strangers! However he didn't want to appear weird, some random young adult wandering around begging for food. So he pulled the little sister card and opted to drag his year old sibling around with him. A tiny child clung to his lower arms like a baby lemur, dressed up like a bumble bee. Truth was he was happy to spent some quality time with her, even if she was asleep after the first half hour. He'd have several belt bags lining his belt and would fill them with what they were given to make the bag in his hand appear emptier than it should be.

Wandering past a temple it seemed this was a place they could try. Waiting patiently for their turn.
Lex (played anonymously)

Lex had never experienced Halloween before, but from their research at the library, it seemed absolutely amazing. Costumes, decorations, free candy... What could be better?
But costumes, as it turned out, were a bit more complicated than they seemed. First, they could be really expensive, and second, there were just so many options! Lex had seen so much for sale, it had taken them a long time to decide on something they liked best (and that was also affordable.) In the end, they had simply picked out a few random items. They didn't really go together, but Lex liked their costume nonetheless. It included a blue rabbit-ear headband, a grand purple cape, and some sort of scepter with a fake emerald on top. They had also used face-paint and glitter to dot their cheeks with little golden stars, just for fun, and along with the costume they were wearing a simple white shirt and black pants.
Lex hadn't been out for very long, but they were already entranced by the houses they had seen thus far. Nothing could prepare them for this next destination, though...
Lex was in absolute awe at the sight of the building before them. Were these decorations magical? It certainly seemed to be the case... They noticed that this place seemed (understandably) quite popular, if the presence of several people already gathered around the entrance was any indication. Lex decided to wait patiently, idly swinging their silver metal candy bucket from side to side as they stood there.

As soon as the first person had left with their candy, Sentinel beckoned the next couple people over, and quickly realized how popular this holiday was. "Ah, young friend! Do not mind the decorations, they are merely... jumpy." He chuckled at his own joke. "You have quite the enjoyable costume! It seems like you are quite proud of it! Go ahead and take a sweet. The bowl's enchanted and should give you your favorite candy."

Stepping forward, Eliane dipped her hand into the bucket and pulled out a chocolate bar, her grin turning delighted at the bit of magic being displayed. "Thank you very much, I hope you have a nice night!" She said with a cheery wave as she stepped to the side to allow others to come forth. Adjusting the ears perched on her head, she headed off into the night.

Sentinel smiled as a new person approached. "Come on over friend!" He didn't notice the little one until they got a little closer. "Ah, what a cute young one you have." A quick glance gave Sentinel the idea that they were siblings, so he held the bowl forward. "Come try your luck! The bowl is enchanted to give you your favorite type of candy." He was beginning to like this holiday more and more, quickly realizing why Nightmare liked setting up for it every year.

There wasn’t much luck waking up his little sister and he didn’t really want to. He wasn’t expecting anything to be edible as most things didn’t agree with them. But selling on the candy and getting meat was the plan at the end of the night.

“Favourite type of candy hmm? Okay then…” stepping closer he reached into the bowl with his only free hand and pulled a small, bitesized piece of something? On closer inspection and a good sniff it would be dried meat cured in something sweet “oh…that’s unexpected! Thank you!”

Tucking the treat away in his pocket, separate from everything else. He’d enjoy that later. For now, he carry on to the next place with his bumblebee.

Sentinel smiled as he beckoned the next guest forward, as the pumpkins began to sing Grim Grinning Ghosts. "Ah, a wonderful costume! Reminds me of an old friend of mine. Always had a way with costumes. Feel free to try your luck! The bowl's enchanted to grant you your favorite piece of
candy!" He held out the bowl excitedly

It was beginning to get chilly. Meg decided to run back to her place to grab a jacket. She didn't have anything that quite complemented her Harley Quinn costume. Then she remembered the straitjacket in her closet when she had briefly gotten interested in magic last year. She realized she was terrible at card tricks and had tried to be an escape artist, only to find she couldn't free herself from even the simplest of restraints. The straitjacket had sat in her closet since she'd given up on magic. Since then she'd taken up the guitar and was half of a new duo A Week From Wednesday.

After pulling the unbuckled straight jacket over her head, Meg headed back out opting to leave the baseball bat prop behind. The sleeves were enclosed but her arms were still free and she could still grasp her treat bag even though she couldn't use her fingers very well. The look fit Harley. Meg quickly found another promising house. Like the first one she'd visited earlier in the evening, the owner had gone all out. It had singing pumpkins. As she made her way up the walkway, a few props jumped out at her, causing Meg to let out an unintended yelp of surprise.

She hurriedly made it to the door, hoping to avoid any more animatronics that might jump out or surprise her with screams. With her hands covered, it made it hard to knock so she looked for a doorbell. After a moment, she had made her presence known and prepared to get back into character when the occupant on the other side of the door answered.

"Thank you!" Lex beamed. They weren't very familiar with Overworld candy, so they didn't have a favourite, really. Thus, they were quite curious to see what the bowl would grant them, and reached in excitedly.
They pulled out a chocolate bar. The wrapper declared it to be a 'Mars' - Lex had never heard of this before, but they trusted the enchantment to give them something good.
"Oh hey, it's named after a planet!" They quipped, carefully setting the chocolate bar into their bucket.

Sentinel beamed as he saw the young lady approach. "What a wonderful costume you've chosen, young miss. It is getting quite chilly, are you sure that will keep you warm?" He held out the same enchanted bowl, wondering if the candy could perhaps warm her up if she got cold.
"Thank you, I like yours too," Meg replied momentarily forgetting to stay in character. Suddenly, she realized she'd gotten distracted taking it all in. "I mean... uh, you mean this gittup," Meg asked suddenly taking on a thick Brooklyn accent mid-sentence. "I just busted outta Arkum. Ya take what ya kin get. I suppose I'm warm enough. My arms seem to have come loose though..."

She raised both of her arms to show him she wasn't actually tied up. Her host offered a bowl of treats as she spoke.

"Thanks, I came here hopin' to git some loot tonight," she said. She reached a sleeved arm into the bowl. The ends of the sleeves were closed and ended in long unbuckled straps. These were the ones that would be used to secure her arms against her stomach. The other straps along the back were buckled loosely to keep the jacket closed, but not so tight that Meg could pull the jacket over her head since she hadn't had anyone to help her when she put it on and would allow her to remove it again on her own without assistance.

Although she could freely move her arms, it was a bit hard to work her fingers inside the sleeves, but she was able to scoop a few pieces of candy from the bowl and deposit them into her treat bag with minimal effort.

"I appreciate the loot," Meg said in Harley's voice. "Nice place ya got here. Just watch out for Bats." By bats, she was referring to Batman.

Sentinel nodded. "Same to you, Miss Quinn. Stay safe out there, but don't get into too much trouble." He chuckled a bit as he waved the young miss goodbye and walked back inside.
"Harley" waved with an unbuckled strap dangling from the end of her arm and headed back down the sidewalk. It was getting late and she needed to circle back with her friends.
