"Oh I hate cars, they empest the air, are awfully loud and destroy my beloved forest, and that color, if at least it were red.... I prefer a lovely impala antelope."

Then the car transforms and Lizbeth feels really ashamed, wanting to disappear instantly.

"You have no room to talk. You'll just spook yourself by stepping on a broken branch. Cars are gonna be the least of your worries. Oh and...watch your step."

Despite Andrew being his friend, Theo's personal feelings override any sense of friendship, and he lets it loose. "Does anyone have a can opener? Because this guy needs it. He also needs to take situations more seriously. I mean, why can't you be more like how you were when we were fighting the Parademons? Most of the time you're just flippant and pulling pranks. And the sheer absolute nerve of you to insult an expectant mother is just sickening. Expectant mothers should be treasured, and appreciated for being radiant gemstones of life and beauty."

Feeling slighted, the Avenger responded "First of all, I was just joking. You KNOW I could get rude if I really wanted to. You're always looking at me like I'm some sort of salty pain in you a**, but why can't you ever just take a chill pill? Everything is all doom and f----ing gloom with you, Theo. Maybe you should make like a lamp and lighten up"

Ignoring the trauma dump taking place beside him, Chase only eyed the Captain. “So, If your parents were to divorce, would they still be brother and sister?”

Carmine pursed her red lips and raked her nails across her jaw. She was deep in thought. The young woman in front of her was boring and brutish—not an ounce of anything “soft” in her! Of course maybe she was a hypocrite for thinking such a thing, but Carmine tended to use her softness as an advantage. She used every available asset she had, but she had a gut feeling that this young woman did the exact opposite. She didn’t like people like that.

“You’re nothing more a child who knows how to shoot a gun,” she deadpanned. Her heel scraped against the wooden floor as she sat down. “Those are who cold and ruthless are those who are weak. You can’t balance your emotions and so you result to the one thing you know best—avoidance. If you were someone who was impressive, I’d at least see some flexibility in that personality of yours.”

Carmine grinned. “After all, good businesswomen are fluid and sociable, but you’re just stale.”
