Grand Theft Auto, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Scarface, how about a crime-based rp? No magic or anything like that, just a corrupt city, gangs or Mafia running around, and a mad grab for power, what do you guys think?

I even made a character that deals with this kind of thing.

How terrible is it that I read this and thought, "RP based in the Greater Toronto Area"?

Sounds cool, though! I've always had a bit of a thing for mafia-type roleplays.

Awesome. Now the question is, make it more gritty realistic like a drama(ala Godfather), or like an action movie?

I am all about the Godfather, baby! But if you can work the two in together somehow, I'd like to see what you come up with!

the really funny thing about this post, to me at least, is that in today's paper the front page story was that inmates have been playing games like GTA and are literally appalled by how violent they are :

I'd actually be interested in this.

I've always liked maffia stuff so actually RP'ing it for a change could be fun!
