"Fair enough question," Zeke said, "But also a very... Rhetorical one. The explorers explore. There are many mystery dungeons yet to be discovered. Their job is to find these places.

Chaos' paw slowly came down. "Oh. Okay! Thanks! So when do I get to start a Rescue Team?" My, my. Quite the eager one, aren't we?

"Someone's an eager little mouse," Zeke chuckled, "Come along. Luna will give all you new recruits a tour and you will all need to go through a test to determine where you'll fit best: rescuer, explorer or multipurpose. That final group is led by Lucas, who you'll all meet later," Zeke said, "Now I'll let Luna take over.
"Hello everyone!" the solrock said. The voice was female and very cheery... A little bit too cheery, to the point of disturbing, "A you all know, I am Luna! It's a pleasure to meet all! Now, if you'd all follow me please~" she began floating towards the doors of the guild, "And please Gil all questions until the end of the tour~"

Chaos rolled his eyes. He didn't need an assessment. What happened to when people could just start their own Rescue Teams without having to sign up at a guild? Sighh, bureaucracy ruins everything, it seems.

He was unnerved by the overtly cheerful Lunatone, turning to see what Sasha's reaction was. His paw was halfway raised when she requested for all questions to wait until the end of the tour, and he put it back down.

Goodness, there were a lot of big and tough looking Pokémon here, weren't there? Golem, Machamp, Gallade, Exploud, Electrode...

It was only a little bit discouraging- Chaos figured they'd all be begging to join his team by the time all was said and done. As they followed Luna through the halls, he nudged Sasha and whispered; "Am I the only one who's creeped out by the voice?"

These stronger Pokemon were already independent guild members though. They weren't there frequently, but went there for jobs and such. The majority f new recruits were unevolved, like Sasha and Chaos.
Sasha was again startled by the pikachu and nodded with a nervous smile, "Y-yeah... It's a bit creepy..."

The tour didn't take long and ended in a massive, well lit, underground cavern. A large hydreigon was waiting for them, as well as Zeke.
"Hello there!" the dragon type greeted. His voice had that deep, raspy friendliness of a grandfather or someone of the sort, "I hope you all enjoyed your tours! It is now time to determine what branch of our guild you will be joining. You will go through several tests and at the end, we will determine who joins and who does not. Everyone, get in pairs and we will begin!"

Chaos nodded, seemingly satisfied with Sasha's answer. Good to know he wasn't the only one who thought so!

The tour ended soon, and in an underground cave. Chaos glanced around as the walked, until he jumped at the massive dragon type in front of them. He was much cooler and much less creepy than the Lunatone. (Three heads, though? Chaos wondered which one did the thinking.)

At the mention of tests and the possibility of not joining, he groaned. He knew he'd ace this test, though- Wait, did they mention pairs?

Chaos instantly put an arm around Sasha's shoulder and raised his other arm high. "Sasha and I are partners!" He yelled before thinking. Then he let go and looked at her. "I mean, i-if you don't mind..." Dang. Being mindful of personal space was hard.

Sasha eeped and jumped away from Chaos, startled. He scared her quite a bit.
"I-I don't mind..." she lied.
"I didn't say you had to tell us," the left head said, "All I said was pick one." the left head seemed the most irritable of the three, yet still in a grandfatherly, knowing way.

(Would you like to jump to the end of the tests? It could be sort of tedious ^^")

(No no! The tests could be fun character development. Plus I like having Chaos antagonize Sasha. )

Chaos smiled at Sasha and did a fist pump. "Yeah, alright! So we can be partners! We're gonna win, I know for sure!" Another Pokémon nearby muttered "It's not a competition, twerp," but he didn't pay them any attention. He wanted to be the very best; like no one ever was.

When the Hydreigon's left head spoke up, Chaos piped down. "Sorry..." He mumbled before turning to Sasha. "Do you think we'll be rescuers? Or explorers?"

That brought to mind a question, at which point his hand shot up and he yelled at the same time "Question! What kinds of tests are these?"

"By Arceus, please stop yelling!" Sasha pleaded and covered her ears with a little whimper escaping her lips. This got a couple nods of agreement from surrounding pokemon.
"That is actually a good question. These tests will simulate different missions you would go through as explorers or rescuers. Some will require more mind than body, others more body than mind, some will require both. Now, we can only send in one pair at a time... And since this pikachu is so eager, he can go first," the middle head said with a cheery smile, "Follow me," he said and led the pair away from the rest of the Pokemon.
"Your first task will be to go through a small mystery dungeon and rescue the Pokemon, in this case a dummy, trapped under a rock, at the end."

Chaos' ears drooped. "Okay, sorry." He didn't want to lose his friend! He made a mental note to not be so loud.

He was excited to learn that they were going first, and he turned to his friend with a grin as they followed the Hydreigon away from the group towards the dungeon.

A mystery dungeon? Ooh, fun! Chaos nodded at Hydreigon and smiled. "Seems easy." He turned to Sasha. "Ready when you are, partner!"

Lucas smiled at Chaos' enthusiasm, "I hope you do well," he encouraged then backed off, "Enter."

Sasha looked nervously up at Chaos, "Y-you lead..." she said and stepped behind him. She was rethinking coming here... Again.

Chaos smiled back at Lucas. "Thanks, mister! I'm sure we will! I've got a super cool friend as my partner, too. She's a Zorua. Zoruas are lucky."

Of course, he didn't actually know whether that was true, but he believed it.

He smiled at Sasha. "Don't worry, I was going to lead anyway. You keep track of where we are, and I'll make sure to take care of any combat situations."

Chaos headed down the entryway, with Sasha in tow.

She followed right behind him, her ears flat and tail between her legs. She tried her best not to fight and often used her illusion powers to become invisible. She didn't speak at all either, even if Chaos said something to her.

When the finally reached the end, the discovered a doll of a houndour beneath a rock, his lower body pinned beneath a rock. The set was complete with blood painted under the rock near his body and it was a very realistic doll.
Sasha completely forgot about the fact it was a doll and she froze, unable to move or make a sound.

Chaos frowned when they reached the Houndour doll. Choosing not to focus on the blood, he hopped over to the doll and looked closely at the rock.

He glanced over at Sasha, who seemed very frightened. "Don't worry, Sasha! He says he's fine, his legs are just hurt." And a vivid imagination, too.

He ran over to one side and tried to push the rock up and off, grunting and groaning, but to no avail. He sighed, disappointed.

"Hey, Sasha!" He called, trying to get her attention. "I need your help!"

She just stared, terrified, unable to move still. Even when he yelled for her help, she remained still for another minute or so.
"O-okay... W-what do I do?"

"Do you still have the Iron Thorn I picked up earlier?" He asked. "I need you to help me lift this rock, and then put the iron thorn under it. That way we can get our friend out from under it and back to safety!"

She nodded and did exactly as he asked, it didn't take too long for them to pull the doll out. A green light flashed signaling success, "Good job," came Lucas' voice, "You may proceed. The next test is one about curiosity. The door way on the left side represents the known. It is a mystery dungeon with water and grass types in it, and at the end there is a very very valuable treasure. The door on the right is the unknown. You don't know what Pokemon will be in it, you don't know what the area will be like, and you have no idea what is at the end. Choose and go forwards."

"L-let's go to the left..." Sasha said quietly.

Chaos beamed at Sasha and almost ran over to give her a big hug- Then he remembered her space. He stopped about a foot away from her and kind of awkwardly put up his hand for a high five, still enthusiastic. "Um, great job, Sasha! We saved him!"

Lucas' reassurance of a job well done caused Chaos to grin even bigger- Then he said there was another dungeon. "Ughghhh. I just want to start a Rescue Te- Wait. Treasure?" A very very valuable treasure was enough to get him interested. Water and grass types were Chaos' advantage, and Sasha herself wanted to go. But something was off.

"He said it was a test of our curiosity... Oh! I know! Sasha, do you want to be a rescuer or an explorer?" He suddenly whirled around, asking.

She didn't high five him and jumped back when Chaos ran at her. This pikachu actually terrified her... Kinda anyways. She was much too touchy feely with her, a stranger to him. If they had been friend's for a while, she'd have no problem with this, but she hadn't even seen the pikachu before the train ride and she didn't have any friends to begin with, so it really bothered her.

"I... I dunno... I don't really like Luna or Sol that much..." she whispered timidly, "I... I like Lucas the most. He seems nice..." she said, "S-so I guess I'd want to join the multi-purpose..." she answered.

(Poor Sasha )

Chaos scratched his head. "Uh... Okay then. Let's go left." He walked towards the door on the left, stopping when he arrived to make sure Sasha was behind him. She seemed more scared now than he'd ever seen her- Then again he had practically assaulted her twice. "Um.. Hey. I'm sorry about scaring you and stuff. I was just excited to make a new friend is all. If you don't want to be friends, I-I understand..."
