At least that's what our characters think until they venture to the woods separated from the school courtyards by a short cobblestone wall and discover the dead body of a senior girl nailed crucifix-style to a large willow tree.
The staff tries to hide it and lie to the students when there could still be a murderer on the loose. They tell them that "the devil got into her heart" and she killed herself. Our characters are the only ones other than the adults who knew what happened, so it's up to them to figure out what's really going on. But by the time they realize this is bigger than both of them and they are no equipped to handle blood and death right before their eyes, it's already too late to back out.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?

I'm really sorry, but I don't wanna do a lot of fantasy in this roleplay. There are going to be some arguable supernatural elements (like, stuff is weird but it could still have a reasonable explanation if you squint and tilt your head), but I think a lot of the horror is gonna derive from the fact that these are two normal teenagers who just so happened to get dragged into this terrifying situation.
