"Oh come on wouldn't it be nice to learn how to draw humans heads so you can do them." Emily said to Andrew before going back to her painting and she started to hum a small tune while she painted. "Just let me know if you ever want me to teach you." She said as she went back to humming as she worked on the top half of the painting. As she worked on it she forgot she was not alone and started to sing a small tune in a quiet voice and the song she was singing was "You are my sun shine."

Andrew silently listened for a while, "You've got a beautiful singing voice," he smiled at her,

Emily stopped and froze when Andrew said that while blushing dark red. "Uhg I did it again singing while I paint I did not want you to hear me sing how embarrassing." She said as she ran her fingers in her hair getting paint in it. "But yeah I sing I stopped though because never got the chance and when I tried a long time ago I just got hit." She said as Mrs. Collins came in. "I thought you kids might like some snacks and something to drink." She said and placed it on Emily's desk. "Thank you Mrs. Collins." Emily said and she smiled leaving the room. Emily grabbed the cup of lemonade and drank it.

"Thank you very much!" Andrew said and his tail began wagging, "Maybe you should try out for our school musical?" he suggested to Emily after taking a sip of his drink, "You really are super talented."

"I also have terrible stage fright besides my doctor says not to do that much physical activity until I put some weight back on." Emily siad as she saw her medicine and took it for she knew she hade to take it. There was cookies and sweets for Emily since she was on a high calorie diet. "Sorry for the sweets just another one of my many ways of my diet to gain weight so I won't be underwieght."

"Can I have some or are they just for you?" he asked teasingly.

Emily laughed a little. "Go for it there is plenty of sweets." She said as she took a cookie ad nibbled it trying to eat it. "And if you don't eat any I will stuff one in your face." She said as she finished half of her cookie and drank a little more lemonade. She heard the door and then heard Mrs. Collins yelling. "Luka is home." She said with no care in her voice for this was Luka's fault he got in trouble not hers.

"She's... Yelling...? At the new kid?" Andrew asked, "I don't think she really has the right to do that. She can be mad at him, but he just moved in two days ago... He's not someone she can just yell at," Andrew said with quiet thoughtfulness as he munched on his cookie.

"She is only doing that because last time he was being a smart mouth saying Mea.Collins was not good or anything and he might be moved mr. Collins swears he smalls cigaret smoke on Luka." Emily said as she finished her cookie. "And I think this is his 3rd foster home so the social worker might have to move him to some place differnt again he is known for disappearing and being in the hospital for getting into fight." Emily said as she sipped her drink. "And talking is mrs. Collins way of grilling well she is not that loud with me but she does treat like we are her kids."

"It's different when you're older though... It's like if I just found out I had some long lost older sister. She would only be some person who claimed to be my sister. That doesn't make her family. Same thing with older kids and foster parents. It's weird. They can't really expect him to just call her mom because when we're older we know the differences. These little kids don't and they're happy to have someone to call mom."

Emily only shrugged. "May I remind you that I am used to the yelling its no differnt." She said as she nibbled on another cookie. "I think she is just preventing him from going to Military school the social services said if he screws up one more time while in foster care they are booting him off." She said as Luka walked up stairs and was sighing. "This could not have happen if you just did as she asked." Emily said and Luka looked at her. "Yeah I know but I like this new freedom I have ever since being finally realeased by my aweful mother." He said as she took a cookie. "Careful those are part of my high calorie diet and Luka you need to not get nto trouble you will just end up in Military school and Mrs. Collins does not believe you belong there so just take it easy." She said as Luka at the cookie and saw Andrew. "Whoops sorry didn't mean to disturb your date." Luka said and Emily urked and Punched him. "This is not a date we are just hanging as Friends I told you already he has a girlfriend." She said and Luka laughed as he left waving. "that boy is not normal."

"You're not being free, you're being a jerk," Andrew stood glared at Luka. He didn't like this boy at all already, and that's hard to do since Andrew was usually pretty easy going and mild. "These people took you in and are trying to give you a better life. How do you repay them? By beig a complete, inconsiderate ass. You've been in this house for what? Two days? And you're already making Mrs Collins tell at you?" the wolf boy looked disgusted, "You bailed on Emily, who had to go to the doctor, which is sorta important, to do what? To go skating with people you don't even know because you've only been here for two days?! You're an ungrateful prick," he growled.

Emily sighed and now wished that Luka did not come into her room cusnow Luka ticked off Andrew. "Hey you got her to the hospital." Luka said. "But Luka Mrs. Collins asked you to take me and you know how much I hate hospitals and the needles they have there." Emily said annoyed not. "And Andrew is right you are being ungreatful Mrs. Collins does not want to see you go to militsry school ut maybe you should go to Military school so it will teach you a lesson." Emiyl said agrovted and was done sticking up for Luka now. "Look I live my life the way I want." He siad and Emily punched him again. "Shut up your a prick right now Luka Mrs. COllins and Mr. Collins is giving us a second chance to live without fear of being harmed and they have done nothing is show kindness and compassion towards us but you are acting like they are doing nothing......get out of my room now I don't want to talk to you anymore." SHe siad shaking and trembling. Luka complied and left her room, went to his and slammed the door shut.

Andrew sat down again an sighed, "I don't like him. I don't like him at all..."

"I am sorry you had to deal with that and listen to his stupidity." Emily said as she put her cup down and stopped eating. "Good think I only saw Luka as a big brother at first but now all I see is a jackass but that is me I guess I am proned to people that are like that, thankfully you are different and not like the others." She said as she leaned against the wall and sinked down to the ground.

He moved over and sat next to her, "Kinda..." he said quietly, "I'm Better than most I guess..."

"But at least your not a jackass and care about peoples feelings unlike Luka he sems to care about what he wants to do when he wants to do it." She said and sighed a little. "But it looks like my sense of character of most people is not great." She said as she burried her face into her knees. She felt ike an idiot for trusting Luka so fast just because they came from similar situations.

He put an arm around her shoulder and held her close, "It's not your fault," he said softly.

Emily looked at Andrew and smiled a little. "Thanks Andrew your really a good friend." She said and felt her heart twinge when she said friend but that was all they were going to be and she knew it. "Emily its almost dinner time your friend staying for dinner or does he need to get home." Mrs. Collins yelled from down stairs and Emily looked at Andrew. "Do you want to stay for dinner or do you have to get home?"

"I can stay," he smiled, "What's for dinner?"
