Emily sat next to Anna still not knowing why she was so concerend about her and her saftey. After awhile and saw the car pull up and she waved at Anna's dad after she was introduced.
"Yes Mr. Rich I am Emily it is a pleasure to meet you and thanks for the ride." Emily said with a small smile and all making sure to be polite still wishing that she could walk home instead.

The ride was about 15 minutes and Anna waved as Emily got out, "If you see Andrew before the night is over, tell him I say hi!" she waved at Emily, "I'll see you at school!"

"Don't worry I will thanks again Anna I did have fun at the mall with you and have a safe ride home." Emily said as she waved at Anna before walking inside her foster home and sighed as she closed the door behind her once in the house and saw Luka on the couch and she raised an eyebrow for he was covering something. "Luka are you hiding Lucy's toys again." She asked and the blanket moved making Emily jump. "What the?!" She said freaked as Mr. and Mrs. Collins walked in smiling. "Luka show Emily what is under the blanket." He said and Luka nodded and moved the blanket and Emily was shocked to see the puppy that she saw at the Mall was there. Luka placed the puppy on the floor and the little girl ran to Emily barking. "But how?" She asked as she picked up the Golden Retriever puppy. "Luka called me and said how much happier you looked with a puppy and we think this little girl will help, well hopefully, break you out of your shell more." Mr. Collins said and Emily ran up to them and hugged him and Mrs. Collins tight. "Thank you so much." she said happily.

The next day, Andrew knocked on the Collins door. When someone opened it, they would see that his eyes were stained with tears, his ears were flat against his head and he was still crying.
If it was Emily, he would immediately wrap his arms around her. If it was someone else, he would ask.

Emily's puppy was barking at the door and Emily was the only one home for the time being and she heard her puppy. "Roxy why are you barking?" She said as she picked u her golden retriever puppy and opened the door and was shocked to see Andrew. "Andrew why are you here?" She asked and saw his eyes stained, his ears flat and that he was still crying. "Andrew what is wrong did something happen?" She asked worried wondering if something bad happen to him, his family, or worst Anna.

He just held her tight and cried into her shoulder for several minutes before nodding.
"I-I guess you didn't see the news..." he whimpered, "Th-there was an accident last night... A drunk driver slammed into the side of Anna's car... She's in the hospital... She's in critical condition..." he held on tightly to Emily. He had only known this girl for about a week, but she had become his best friend and he felt like he could trust her with anything.

Emily freaked a little when he hugged her but her heart dropped when she heard that Anna was in the hospital. "No.....No.....This should not have happen to Anna she is to sweet and nice for this to happen to her." Emily said as tears feel down her face and she hugged him back. with her free arm while her other arm held Roxy who started to whimper but then pulled away. "You should leave..I think I was the cause of this I told Anna that I would just walk home but no she was persistent of having me driven home that way she would not have to stop at my place she could have avoided the driver before it happen." Emily said shaking feeling like this was all her fault.

He shook his head, "She called me after she dropped you off... It was only like ten seconds. It's not your fault at all Emily... It's that stupid driver! What was he thinking?!!" he started crying more and refused to let Emily go. "Please... I-I need someone right now..." he begged.

Emily closed the door and put Roxey down and she whimpered when she did that. Emily lead Andrew inside to the couch so he could sit and not worry about him collapsing to the ground all of a sudden. She let him hug her while they were on the couch. As they sat there Roxy jumped onto Emily's lap and curled up before closing her eyes. "Anna should not have been hit."

He followed her and held his head in his hand with his elbows on his knees. "E-Emily... If something happens to her..." he let out a little sob, "If I lose her..." he began crying again.

"Andrew do not say that we can't think negitively about this Anna would not want us to do that." Emily said as she hugged him tight. "She will get through this Anna is strong I know she can get through this." She said. Even she she liked Andrew a lot she would never wish this upon Anna. "If we think posetivly and believe she will get better then she will as long as we show her the positive side she will be positive and she will get better." She said to him trying to help him the best she could.

He just held Emily tightly and continued to cry into her shoulder. He cried and cried until he finally fell asleep against Emily and his head slid into her lap. He was pretty cute when he was sleeping, even though his cheek fur was wet with tears.

Emily let him cry and moved Roxey so when Andrew fell asleep it would be easy for him to place his head on her lap. She watched Andrew sleep on her lap and felt bad for him since this happened right before the twos anniversary. "Please let's Anna survive Andrew should not have to suffer...If only I was more stubborn at not going this accident could have been avoided for the would not hade stop at my place to drop me off Anna would not have to be in this situation." She whispered in a very low voice as she ran her fingers through his hair hoping it will help him relax.

And indeed it did. The gentle combing of her fingers through his short, brown hair soothed him and his breathing slowed to a normal rate and he rubbed his cheek against her belly.

Emily smiled as she watched him rubbed his cheek against her bely and she kept running her fingers through his hair and soon started to sing.

She sang in a soft voice for when she felt blue her mother did sing it to her when she cared back then and she hoped the song would help him too.

Her singing woke him up but he pretended he was asleep still until she finished and he slowly opened his eyes and looked up at her.
"I-is that... How you feel about me?" he whimpered and slowly sat up. His cheeks were bright red and he looked nervous and conflicted.

Emily freaked a little for she thought he was asleep still when she sang that song. Her cheeks were dark red and hung her head low. "Yes I do feel that way about you very much but I didn't expect you to be awake when I sang it." She said as Roxy whimpered and jumped on her lap when Andrew moved and Emily patted the puppies head. "When I was little back when my mother did love me she sang that song to me and told me that if I ever were to find someone I love I should sing that song to let the feeling out." She said so she did pretty much confessed that she did love Andrew. "Andrew listen to me please don't be conflicted about me basically confessing my feelings to you Anna will survive and I know she will get through this and come back, also I did promise her that I was not going to take you away from her."

He whimpered a little bit and looked away from her, "Y-you've only known me for a week..." he said quietly then reached for his cell phone as it began to buzz. He just listened for a couple seconds before he began to sob again and he threw the phone against a wall in a fit of rage.
"Th-they can't save her... I need to go to the hospital... I-I need to tell her that I love her..." he sobbed and rushed out of the house and towards his own.

"Yeah I have only known you for week I guess I am a sucker for love at first sight." Emily siad and soon heard his phone and watched him then watched him throw his phone against the wall. She was shocked that the doctors could not save Anna. Emily watched him run out before walking over and picking up his phone while crying. "I wish I was the one hit by that drunk driver and not Anna for I don't deserve happiness." Emily said as Roxy whimpered. Emily placed the colloer on her puppy and leashed her before she put Andrew's phone in her pocket and run out of the house towards the hospital. Though Roxy was slow Emily just picked up Roxy as she ran, barefoot. She did not think about putting her shoes on.

The hospital was much too far away to run. It was twenty minutes of driving on the highway to get there and it simply wouldn't be possible for Emily to get to the right one. Fortunately, when she ran out, Andrew's family was just beginning to leave to go to the hospital and he saw Emily.
Andrew rolled down the window, "E-Emily... W-what are you doing? Go back home..."
