Roxy saw Andrew and rubbed her head against his arms. Emily laughed a little. "Yeah you can say that again.....how did you know I was sick?" She asked as Roxy barked. "Roxy off the bed for now." she said as she moved her dog and Roxy jumped off the bed. "Some time for me to get a fever all of a sudden."

"Friends know these things," he said quietly and leaned down then kissed her forehead tenderly.

Emily blushed a little when he did that. "well good thing I have a great friend like you." She said with a smile as Roxy barked happily and laid on the floor next to Andrew's foot. Emily heard the phone ring and took the phone frm her night stand and answered it. "Hello.......No I can't see them I am running a very high fever........maybe when I get better.....that was not the deal though why do they want to do that so soon......whatever bye." Emily hung up the phone and hid under the blankets. "I hate this the stupid social worker is trying to push my sdoption paper work through to fast now." Emily had forgotten she had told Anna the fact that she was probably going to be adopted out but she never told Andrew.

His eyes went wide, "W-what?!" tears began to form in the corners of his eyes and he shook his head, "N-no... You're being adopted?! Emily, you can't get adopted! I need you!!!" his head hung low and he shook his head slowly, "Why does everyone I care about leave?"

Emily realized she screwed up by saying that. "Andrew hold it I have no plans on being adopted at first yes and that plan was that I would be adopt by the end of the school year and move to Philadelphia but now my social worker got wind that I don't want to move to Philadelphia he is trying to push my paper work to adopt me out sooner not if I have a saying about it since next year I will be 18." She said and grabbed the phone for she did not want to get adopted anymore for she actually liked where she lived. She call Mr. Collins and told him the situation and he said he take care of it. Emily hung the phone up. "I don't want to be adopted I actually like where I am now."

He watched her do all this and sniffled then wrapped his arms around her, not caring that she was sick.
"Th-thank you Emily... You mean more to me than you know..." he lightly brushed her cheek with his thumb.

Emily was shocked when he wrapped his arms around her and she looked at him while blushing especially when he brushed her cheek with thumb.
"Yo-your welcome Andrew... I thought at first I wanted to get adopted and just leave but I really like being here now and I don't want to leave."

He slowly let her go and then stood, "I need to go... I'll come see you tomorrow if you're still sick."

"Alright Andrew and thanks for stopping by to see me I really appreciate it." She said with a smile as Roxy barked happily before jumping back on the bed so she would be with Emily as she slept.

Unfortunately the next day Emily still had her fever and was coughing. "I guess you are catching the one symptom at a time cold were you get one symptom a say at a time so get some rest and Roxy keep an eye on Emily while I make soup." Mrs. Collins said as Emily coughed while relaxing in bed. Luka unfortunately had the duty to get Emily's homework from school.

Andrew came in as promised and smiled as he walked in with the bowl of soup from Mrs Collins, "Hey Emily..." he said quietly.

Emily let out a loud cough when Andrew came in but she smiled. "Hey Andrew well by the way things at going I will have a full on cold by the end of this week so be careful in am contagious right now." She said trying to laugh as Roxy jumped off the bed and Emily slowly sat up. "Sorry if Mrs. Collins asked you to bring the soup up she is hoping we be able to nip this cold in the butt before it gets worst." She explained as she smiled a little.

"It's alright," he said, "I can't stay long though," he told her, "So... You're not feeling any better?"

"No Mrs. Collins things I am getting the one Symptom a day cold meaning I get a new symptom every day until I get a full on cold." She said as she took the soup and started to eat some of it for she wanted to get better. "Doctors did warn me this might happen since my immune system is weak since I don't normally eat all the nutrients everyday but he did say it go back to normal once I eat more and healthier also." She said said realized she was rambling. "Ah listen to me Ramble you must be busy today Andrew." Emily said while laughing.

"Well... I hope you get better..." he said then stood, "I'm... I'm not gonna be home tomorrow, so... I won't be coming to see you," he said and then tentatively leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"I am sure I will with plenty of rest and ok no worries have good day tomorrow." Emily said with a smile knowing it must be something important that Andrew had to do or it had to do something with Anna's death but she did not ask for it was not her place. She blushed a little when he kissed her forehead but smiled. "Just be safe tomorrow ok."

He nodded and left the house. Indeed, the next day's events were related to Anna's passing: it was her funeral. He didn't visit Emily afterwards and he didn't visit the next day either, and he didn't go to school on Monday.

Emily was finally better by monday and had gone to school and noticed Andrew was not in school. "So it was Anna's funereal." She said knowing it must have been really hard on Andrew. She walked home alone and stopped near his house. She pulled out an envelope that had a sketch of him and Anna together she made it for him while she was sick. She taped it on the door knocked a few times before she ran off the property towards her house.

Andrew was the one who opened the door and he saw Emiky running away then spotted the picture on the door. He smiled sadly and took it down then went into his room and hung it up above his bed.

Emily finally made it home and Roxy was jumped at her with a leash in her mouth. "alright Roxy let me put my stuff down and I will take you for a walk." She said as she put her stuff away got Roxys leash hooked up and once Emily opened the door Roxy started tugging her. "Ok for a puppy you are strong." She said as they started their walk and was glad to be walking her again since she couldn't when she got sick. As they walked Emily started to sing a song to pass the time.

Roxy barked happily for she liked it when Emily would sing on their walks. Emily had no clue why she was singing more since she loved art more then singing.

The next day, Andrew spotted her at lunch and he sat down next to Emily.
"Hey..." he greeted quietly, "Thank you for the picture... I... I really appreciate it..." he sniffed
