"Thanks friend," Wander said, getting on the book.
"Of course. I'm always happy to help." Rhens said, the book lifting up to allow Wander easy access to the drinks.
The Duchess' voice was stern, and she turned fully toward Wendy, squaring off her body and putting her hands on her hips. She seemed to be slightly taller, and her expression was all business. "No," she replied firmly. "Not for an hour. Not even for a second. I have servants and magic; what I do not have is enough shame to see my invited guests cleaning after an event I created for their enjoyment." Putting a hand over her heart as if this was quite flustering for her, she slowly turned back to T Mori. "Well, then perhaps the best I can hope for is give you the opportunity to surprise me, hmn? Will you accompany me to the edge of the bluffs?"
Wander gets on the table, "Thanks." Wander gets some punch, and finds out it was spiked, "This has been spiked..."
"Oh? A summon from the master of the party herself? Well, what self-respecting partygoer would I be if I were to decline?" She smiled just that much wider, her first set of hands gesturing flamboyantly. Her plotting brain was already set into motion by the "give you a chance to surprise me".... she'd surprised too many people rather mortifyingly in her lifetime so far.
The edge of the bluffs... a summon from the host... what is being planned? I like wherever it's going.

“Your no fun Dutchess” she mumbled and sat back on the stairs, going back, to being really bored, as well as string to guilt trip them
Though no one appeared interested in dancing, the fiddler continued to play on. Dance was hardly required to enjoy music, after all.
His eyes were mostly down on his instrument or sometimes closed entirely, but now and then he looked out over the room. It was a fascinating assemblage that had gathered. In fact, it seemed reasonable to wager that he was not even the most dangerous individual in the room - and that was before considering any "abilities" anyone might have. That, too, was fine. After all, he really had only come to enjoy the party.

"I can't hold alcohol to save my life... So would you know where the bathroom is?"
"Hmm, can't say I do. Perhaps ask the Duchess?" Rhens allows Wander back to the floor, a bit concerned for him but not overly worried.
pan worke up from his drink and then felt thirsty. " does anyone know where the punch is?" he asked the air
Wander runs over to the Duchess, "Excuse me do you know where the bathroom is?"
"No idea..." Elliot answered from Pan's lap. "Maybe ask the pink thing. I thing I heard him complaining about it a moment ago."
The Duchess, no fun? "Oh, that's objectively not true," she says with a wink to Wendy, and then turned, putting a hand on T Mori's back to better lead her down to the bluffs. But then she is bombarded with questions, and pauses again to give Wander directions to the bathroom. It happened that she did know where the watercloset was in her own home. That completed, she raised her voice slightly, "Anyone is invited to accompany us, if they wish, of course," and with that would lead the way down to edge of the bluff that overlooked the beach below, and the frigid waters of the bay. "See down there?" she points at the beach, and as she does so, an enormous herd of walruses suddenly comes flopping their way up onto the beach, grunting and groaning and bringing the faint smell of fish guts with them, even when viewed from so high up.
"Thanks," Wander runs over to the restroom
She fixed her hair for a moment and sighed “this is pretty Boring, I could be cleaning” she said and sighed
She walked alongside the Duchess as gracefully as she could while almost tripping, looking around the breathtaking surroundings of both the party and the bluffs.
At seeing the walruses, her eyes lit up a little, and she let out a slight gasp. "Oh! Oh, how nice! I knew walruses lived around here, but not... right here. They're rather cute!"
.... as more emerged, her eyes widened a little. "Oh, jeez, and I didn't know that many lived around here. Living in a laboratory makes it a little hard to see such a massive amount of walruses at once." She chuckled at her own joke, fidgeting with her gloves again.
The duchess is lucky she's wearing a closed-back dress.

Elliot sat up a little in Pan's lap, feeling a little groggy from having gotten so comfortable. "Hrm?" they rubbed their eyes on the back of their paw, and then had to pause the straighten their mask out, having rotated it to one side in the process. "Wh-what's going on now...?"
Elliot stretched for a moment, then hopped off Pan's lap and followed the way toward the beach, not quite sure why, but figuring that it was better to get involved with the party than continue to laze around.

(Lol that’s sorta what I’m going for, she usually does not get a break but her boss makes her at times)
"Yes, there's quite a few down there... perhaps a hundred, in my estimation? Now, one of them happens to be wearing a locket. Perhaps you'll surprise me by going among them and figuring out which one. Perhaps you'll surprise me even more by convincing that walrus to give you the locket." She tosses a look back at those who were looking on from slightly behind. "Or perhaps someone else will be the one who surprises the both of us."
“Fashionably late to the party.” Was the excuse he was going with. In fact, it had taken a lot of convincing from fellow (and more cowardly) merchants to go. Factually and logically it made sense of course. Loads of customers, wearing their best. Bound to be a trade or two. But also, this seemed more of a hero business thing. Or a hero trap?
Not to mention, he’d just gotten a hold of a rocking chair. A whole rocking chair! Hopefully his latest haul of trades didn’t come with termites like last time.
As the Merchant thought wistfully of his rocking chair, he arrived at the scene, taking a few moments to drink the scene in. “…That sure is a flower.” Was it wilting?
He could see the party leaving for some other location, now wondering if he was perhaps a bit too fashionably late.
