Wander unwrapped the chocolate and starts to eat it, At least it isn't running
"Very well," the fiddler stated, and tugged the duchess a bit closer. For all the propriety he had being showing and having a violin packed away against his back, the style of dance he guided her into was not something so formal as typical ballroom dancing. It was a bit more spry and almost folksy, matching the current music. Movement could flow a little more freely. He still tended to keep her close, frequently in contact in some way; and while he would certainly let her move as she desired if she tried, the duchess would find that it didn't matter if she had ever danced before in her life, as he could move with her well enough to make her look an expert if she but allowed.
Although, dancing with this particular fiddler could sometimes make a person tire just a bit faster than usual. Nothing likely to stand out or anything.

The Wyverian reclined their elbow against an empty pedestal in the hall, their head resting in their hand. "It's a shame you had to go," they replied. "I've had to leave a home due to danger before as well. I know how that goes, yeah? Still, it doesn't replace the memories you have in that location. There was a village not far from where I was at one point. They had a fishery that's a great source of food. I hunted separately, but I made sure their environmental pests were kept low so they could have the better catches. I respected their space and they respected mine."
A shrug followed. "Well, up until they didn't, that is. No offense taken." Or maybe a little offense taken. "It's whatever now. I live in the moment, not the past."

"Maybe someday we'll return to it", Light said. "But at least I can return to it in my memories....!" She trailed off at the mention of a village and looked at the Wyverian with a surprised look. The look of someone who knew only too well what he was talking of. "Up until they didn't..." she echoed, looking away a little wistfully. "And that's right... the past can't really be changed, can it? Just teach valuable lesson for the future."
Being a fae creature of winter parties, the Duchess appears to be quite... tuned in to dances, both ballroom and folk. She seemed quite comfortable - gay, even - to match the fiddler's faster steps, gaily swishing her skirt as they swirled and pranced together. "You're an excellent dance partner, friend!"
A nod came from the Wyverian, bone beads from their long ears clicking together. "That's right. I hope I don't seem too bothered or anything. Or am I bothering you? I don't know, I usually don't get into discussions like this. Nobody really asks!" An airy laugh followed. "I guess that's why I ended up here. The winter's too cold and boring, but no matter how freezing the sea gets, that will be my home."
They outstretched their arms. "And hey! It's much easier like that, considering they're pretty big bodies of water. I can go where I like."

he continued to play the guitar not even singing while hapilly dancing by himself
((Hey. he did what? ))
Light shook her head reassuringly. "Oh no, you aren't bothering me at all.... I was just surprised by how similar your words were to what happened to us. We had an issue with... hunting grounds, too. And it involved a nearby village, but they were mountain folks, my husband and I would sometimes trade carved wood sculptures and food with them, until.... well, life happens and all that. I'm not annoying you to speak of these things, am I? I'm just interested in how people live and what similar experiences they have..." She suddenly chuckled, remembering something she had once heard. "Isn't it said that 'still waters run deep'? So it's how you honed your wits, because of your affinity with water?", she said half-jokingly.
(( it was aauto corect))
"As are you, my lady," the fiddler returned. "I tend to watch others dance more often, but there is a joy in participating!"
In fact, it was even engaging enough to keep him distracted from the wistful conversation going on around watery homes. He supposed it had been awhile since he had simply just... danced like this. A fact that eventually managed to announce itself when a misstep landed him on his bottom (but thankfully not endangering his dear instrument). The fiddler sat awkwardly, stunned for a moment, before he started laughing.
"Maybe less joy when that happens," he chuckled still as he climbed back to his feet and brushed himself off.

Wander walked over to the wall, and curled up.
((That was a terrible way for autocorrect to try to "help." ))
I guess I should take a small nap... nah, I'll do that at home.
The Wyverian crossed their arms, though they still seemed receptive to the conversation. "That is very similar," they pondered aloud. "Seems we're more alike than in just one way. And, uh, no! Not annoying me at all." Their head shook. "I'm the same way, I guess. You get tired of having to compete with other hunters all the time, you know?"
The question is followed up with a soft 'hah.' "Yeah, seems like it, doesn't it? When I'm around the water, anyway. I would be lying if I said I didn't have a relationship with lightning either. . . but what aren't I lying about, perhaps?" A four-fingered hand raised to their mask as they put a pointer in front of the mask's lips.

The Duchess grinned, but was careful not to laugh, lest it be taken the wrong way. She crouched, holding her hands out to him to help him back to his feet. "At least you didn't pull me down with you! That's the mark of a good lead, making sure they take any impacts themselves and protecting the follower."
The female, dressed in a short blue dress with fingerless gloves and some ripped stockings walked in, her eyes almost sparkled when she looked around “this 8s amazing…!” She said in awe as she did a small twirl and looked around a little more before going and sitting on the stairs with a sweet smile
The fiddler accepted the help, a small chuckle escaping his throat as he nodded to her words. Once again, his grin was audible as he commented, "Though it might have softened the landing had I fallen on your dress. The skirt looks wonderfully pillowy. Ah, but no, can't have you on the floor at your own party! Which, mm, perhaps I should stop hogging the lovely hostess to myself."
Once more, he bowed.
"Dancing with you was a delight, my lady. Despite my sore rear."

Wander got up, and walked over to the newcomer, hello, how are you?
The Duchess shakes her head in amusement, hooking her arm through the Fiddler's elbow to properly escort him off the dance floor. "I am certain the delight was all mine. Perhaps you'll play the next song for the dancers?" Seeing a newcomer come in, she offered Wendy a wide smile. "I'm so glad that you were able to join us, my friend!"
