Welcome to Across the Stars, a literate Star Wars roleplaying community based on Discord! We are currently accepting new members in hopes of expanding our rp and overall community.
What is Across the Stars?
Across the Stars is a new hub server for an RP created nearly a year ago with the help of several friends and fellow Star Wars fans. Since then, we have rewritten parts of the Star Wars saga, most of which has been post-Return of the Jedi. We have incorporated elements from both Canon and Legends stories, taking the best of both worlds and putting aspects of them together to form one universe.
Across the Stars aims to expand this new galaxy and establish a safe, non-toxic community based around literacy and maturity through writing, brought together by a mutual love of Star Wars, no matter the content. We aim to create new stories as both a medium for entertainment and a showcase of each other's skill and creativity and hope to include more people as time goes on.
Legends content including the Thrawn Trilogy and aspects of Legacy and Dark Empire have been used in lore, as well as canon content including Rebels and The Mandalorian.
We have crafted many stories including concepts both new and old—from the creation of Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order to a crime war between Boba Fett and Tyber Zann, and even a new team of Inquisitors during the height of the Empire. The official Star Wars movies and shows are left untouched with the exception of Rebels and The Mandalorian, both of which have been/will be configured to better fit our lore. For a starting point, we do not have any specific rp or story in mind. Instead, we hope to see what stories other players would enjoy or what characters they would like to play.

- Respect server rules, players, and staff. These are pretty much the basics; no drama, no offensive or disrespectful jokes/statements, no overpowered or unrealistic characters.
- Maintain literacy when in rp. We ask for at least one paragraph per entry.
- Currently, we are not allowing canon characters to be playable, but that is subject to change.
- Have fun! The goal of this is to have as much fun while providing a creative medium as possible. Being serious about it 100% of the time will only exhaust everyone involved and end in disaster.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is slightly desired, but the overall plot is more important.
