I've witnessed marauding Centaur transform from a nomad people, to a war machine, slaving all others to fuel their war hunger and forsaken their creation. Worst yet, I have seen the good, Human race, fall at their own hands in a power-funnel of death and destruction. We must cling to what peace and happiness we can before we start the path to destruction. I tell you this, because one day you will wield your own weapon of choice and venture out, you will see these horrors and you will become a part of them. My only concern is... will you be like all of the others, clinging to make others suffer for your own gain, or will you be what topples the evil, so that harmony may rise from the ashes."

Atop the snow-capped mountains of the Luriscan north-lands there is a small human village in a wide nook in the center of a grouping of mountains by the name of Moam.Off to the west is a path that leads to the Royal elven grove, with many sacred, blue trees making up a forest. Off to the east is a path that leads off into the snowy hunting forests of northern lurisca, the path then leads down to warmer, southern lands. To the north, there are two paths, one to the mountains and the Luriscan trundra, the other path leads to a valley full of frost trees and elemental terror. The town of Moam is quiet,it is sunset and the Humans walk around the city, finishing up any shopping before nighttime. There is an abundance of building throughout the city such as inns, guard stations, homes, a dining hall, town hall, some shops. The whole town is capped with snow, it hasn't snowed in a while, the wind is chilling but never too cold, soon it will be night time and the cold will begin to creep over anything without shelter.

A short distance away from Moam there is a big, flat, snow covered plain. There seems to be two mysterious figures exchanging words out in the plains.

"There had better be a place to sleep inside tonight with a warm fire, waking up half frozen isn't fun," Kier told his companion. He was wearing a light coat over his jerkin which was keeping the cold out fairly effectively, and combined with his constant motion it was perfectly comfortable for him. They had been on the road from Dunrig to Moam, which had taken them a few days while putting ten to fifteen miles a day, and the last few nights had gotten cold enough that even in tents and under a thick sleeping roll it was getting chilly.

Clunking in large armor next to Kier was a human man standing just shorter than Kier himself. His name was Liam Jacks. Liam had charcoal black skin and short locks of stylish, darker hair as straight as Kier's. He had no facial hair. He wore grey, metal, plate mail armor from shoulder to toe. His armor was fully chilled and forming icy crystals, he seemed colder than everyone else. On Liam's back he had a rectangular shield, it matched with his armor but had some paint of sorts over it, black artistic details, not the best but they looked creative. In fact all of his armor was detailed with art of some sort, as well as stains of blood and other liquids ranging from all putrid colors. They didn't seem intentional. Liam also had a dark mace, it looked battered, broken, and held together by bindings. Liam looked like he wore leather under his heavy armor so he wasn't completely uncomfortable.

"I just want a fire. I will have to think my way out of this armor if it gets frozen while I am on the floor." Liam continued to clunk around, close by Kier on their way to Moam. "It has been ages since I have been to Moam, I came here on a caravan and we only stayed long enough to drop things off and we were steering right into 'Royal elf land.' Back then I didn't have this armor."

Liam had been making fires along the way for himself and Kier to help with the cold. He seemed well supplied with tools for making fires and cooking. He had a few snacks for himself but he had relied on Kier to catch things for food, which he would cook. Or they would eat from rations.

"Hey look." Liam points to the end of the road "I guess we were closer than we thought."

Out in the distance was Moam and its various buildings.

"Well than let's not tarry any further," Kier proclaimed, quickening his pace, ignoring the fact that it just made the cold air his his face harder.

Kier and Liam make it to the very edge of the city. Metalworked fire pits are lit with with blue flames and they line every few yards of the roads of the town. The buildings look made of stone bricks along with the streets. They seem like they were created long ago when greater nations ruled over the lands. The town has a cheap fence going all around it made of thin metal that looks bent and twisted.

Liam comments on the walls "Not the most protective of walls I've ever seen." Liam keeps quiet as they get closer to the two guards in front of the main entrance to the city.

Both guards are human men, one with brown hair the other with red, both with bushy beards. The two have mail armor on with cloth scarves and blankets wrapped all over them. They look warmish but still unhappy with their duties.

The red haired man steps up with a metal tablet with paper on it. "I need both of your names and your business here." The man shouts out at the two adventurers.

Liam looks a bit off put by the man's social skills "I am Liam Jacks, I have a summons from-" The Red haired guard shouts "Wait! Wait! That is Liam Jacks right?!" The man looked slow to write by lack of haste.

Liam did not seem happy about how long this was going to take. But the area was not as cold with the brazier flames, burning around the four.

"No kidding," Kier replied to the comment on the city's defenses, "of course the torches could also be more than what they appear."

Kier was about to reply, before the guard blurted out, "how long do you think he will take for him to get his senses if I use my full name and title?" He inquired to Liam with a small smirk on his face.

Liam raises his gauntlet and raises his finger to Kier "Oh good call on the flames." Liam looks at the flames "So why-" The guard shouts at Liam "And why are you here?!" Liam looks at the guard "I have a summons from Julia Notta concerning-" The guard shouts at Liam once more "OKAY if it is about those two woman folk, then I don't want to know what it is about. You both just mind the city." The guard looks at the two sternly.

Liam sighs and brings his gauntlet to his face "Yes sir." Liam steps into the city slowly.
The guard look to Kier "What is yer name for the record, and is it the same as that nut in the armor?"

"Kier Senshi, and only half the stuff you hear about me is actually true to an extent," he glared at the guard hard enough to make the man not ask questions about him, "and I am on the same business he is."

"So have you actua.." he started to yell.

"Kier Glared at the mane again this time touching it up with Ormisund, for the man it was as though the already lengthened shadows stretched further, "I do not want to be hindered by you, and I am not in the mood to stay around and chat." he walked past the stunned guard, and catching up to Liam he comented, "I think that we should choose another gate to go through, one who hopefully doesn't have a nuance at it."

Liam turns around as he walks slowly into the town, totally clueless about Kier's reputation. "Well I doubt they station the best people out in the cold now do they?" Liam smirks to Kier "Okay so let's hit up the inn and settle up." Liam motions with his hands "We should rest up and see what we find out about this girl and her buddy. They guard made it apparent that there were two girls and they were both trouble enough for the guards.

Liam goes past the buildings: A blacksmith, slaughter house, shops, workshops, some homes. Liam looks around and gets to the center of the town to the inn. The sign outside of the inn is written in a common human language "Cold Comfort Inn." Liam says "Sounds like a blast." He says sarcastically with a smile on his face. Liam looks to Kier "Is there anything you needed to do before we find rooms?"

"Nah, I'll go take a look around town to check this place out after I drop the gear," he began to lead the way in. The interior was shining with a blue glow of magical lights, giving a warm cold feeling and it was clear that this inn had high standards, "not bad for a choice for an inn, looks like they targetr the more wealthy people."

Liam nods "Well let's just get this over with." Liam walks to the front desk "We need two small rooms." Liam holds up two fingers to the person at the desk. Liam looks to Kier "I hope we get some good adventure out of this summons."

"Better, I'd hate to have another over exaggerated tale about my adventures," he replied to Liam.

Liam looks to Kier "So tell me about these adventures and why exactly they are so over exaggerated." Liam signs the registry and grabs his key as he waits for Kier's response. Liam also looks around the inn, he seems upset with the feeling of it all. Still it is some place safe to stay.

"I do a bunch of adventuring with people and before I knew it people were making ballads of plenty of the adventures, such as the one time where I supposedly fought a dragon and smote it, reality I just talked to the guy as an equal and spent about a week with him than told him of a good place to stay. The next day he and most the treasure he had collected had gone, he left two chests of gold and a book which I had told him grandpa would be interested in. Than again I suppose I was the one to start it when I told them that had happened than as it died it caused all the rest of the stuff to disappear. I also have had many adventures with groups of people plenty of them spreading wild tales, the usual," Kier summed up.

Liam smiles to Kier and makes his way through the halls of the inn "Well I've never seen a dragon before, I'm a study in magic and a traveler of these and far off lands and I've only heard rumors of -A- dragon." Liam smirks to Kier "But I'm afraid that is still all I have to go off." Liam gets to his room and unlocks the door "Say Kier, I'll talk to you in a while. Come find me if you want something." Liam smiles to Kier and keeps eye contact for a moment to listen to Kier's response and to follow up on anything.

"They are more or less common in areas, shouldn't encounter much all to interesting for a few hundred miles at least with the exceptions of some ruins or naturally pretty girls," he replied with a grin before going for his room. Once inside he got out a few things, mostly traps and tricks for any would-be thieves. Once done with setting up the illusions which would easily fool thieves, he made sure he had everhing he wanted with him and left the room, and headed down, checking the lobby for Liam before heading out.

Liam is nowhere to be found in the lobby. No sounds of clanking can be heard in the whole inn, Liam is either still, without his armor, or long gone. After traveling for days with the sound of clanking around Liam, it must be a relief for anyone traveling with him, if not himself.

There is still plenty to do without Liam around or ways to look for him. It is too cold and too late to go too far out of the city without shelter but the fires around the town keep the paths and the towns warm enough. People seem to be awake at this time of night and a few shops are open. No major work is going on like blacksmithing. Only idle work like vendors are around.

Liam spoke about finding two specific women. Liam may be off to find them or he may be in his room.
