Alex had been stuck at a new orphanage again, but this one had a forest behind it. He was told that there was something strange about the forest, so being as curious as he is, he went ahead and started walking through the forest. He felt as though there was a push, like someone else was telling his legs where to go. It wasn't long till he found a shrine, it seemed odd to him. He walked up to it and saw the sign that read "Leave an offering and the Fox Spirit will help." He thought for a moment on what he could leave for the spirit, seeing as he was still trying to find a home for him and a teacher so that he could be able to strengthen his skills as a demon hunter and witch. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small gold coin then set it down on the front steps of the shrine. "Dear Fox Spirit, I am in need of help. I need to find a home and teacher." He spoke quietly, not sure that this would work at all.

Little foxes were were scurried around the area for they were all bored for they have been living around the shrine for years waiting for their fox spirit friend to return. As they laid around the area they heard footsteps and looked to see the boy walking in the direction of the shrine and they all scattered over to the shrine where Autumn was sitting on top of it. She could not see seen though unless and offering was placed on the table. Autumn noticed the foxes acting weird and soon saw the boy walk to her shrine and then watched him place a gold coin on the table and she smirked when she heard his request. The wind pick up causing the trees to blow, leaves to scatter, and then creating a small tornado where it circled around her as she appeared on the shrine. She was wearing a yellow dress with orange leave detail on the top, golden blonde, golden eyes, her ears and tails were noticeable. "My such a cute human boy asking for my help." She said as she jumped off the Shrine and took the gold coin. "So you want a home and a teacher care to explain a little more to me so I can understand it a little better and help you a lot more." She said to Alex as a little fox ran over and Autumn picked him up and held the little one.

Alex was shocked to actually see something happen, seeing as he had not seen much of magical or demonic things happen. For a moment, he had taken to process all that just happened then he cleared his throat. "I am the son of a witch and demon hunter, but due to that, I was cast off form both of the societies. My parents died when I was about ten years old, before my powers had came in. So now I need to find a home and a teacher so that I can learn to use my skills properly." He explained the Fox spirit.

Autumn listen to him and smirked a little. "What Era is this I know I have been trapped for 500 years but it still sounds like the Era I was born in where Half-lings were born from creatures like me and humans." She said with a small smile. "So we need a home for you and a teacher that is defiantly a tall order there for that but I think we can make that possible." Autumn said as the little fox nuzzled in her arms. "First things first I think we should get a home for you how would you like that set up for you." She asked Alex before laughing. "Sorry where are my Manner's I am Autumn the Fox Spirit what is your name son of a witch and Demon Slayer." She said with a smile.

"This is known as the modern Era, we really haven't thought of a name for it." He said, really not thinking on how to answer her question. He listened to what he said and hoped that she would be able to find him a home and a teacher, that is all he needed for now. "I am Alex." He said calmly, actually becoming curious on to why the woman was trapped in the shrine. "If you do not mind, may I ask as to why you were trapped in the shrine?"

Autumn heard his question on how and why she was trapped in the shrine. "I was trapped in the shrine by a monk for causing to much trouble in a village just like you I had no mom and dad to raise me after I reached a certain age so I wanted attention but it was the wrong type so a monk got mad at me and trapped me in the shrine as punishment and been trapped for 500 years until now." Autumn explained to Alex as she waved her hand and got a look of the city. "Wow things really has changed since I have been trapped." She said as she looked at the different areas until she found an abandon house. "Ah perfect." She said as she touched the image and the old abandon house changed into a nice, clean, and now occupied house. "How about a place like that to call home sorry can't provide a family but I can stay and get you some good teachers the best I can."

Alex felt sorry for Autumn, he knew how she felt, in a way. He didn't seek out attention because he saw no reason to and usually he made friends quickly so he never felt alone. He watched her as she seemed to change the home so easily from what the original state once was. He nodded at what she said and thanked her. "It is fine. I will be better off here than in the orphanage." He said calmly then looked over at her.

"True but I am staying with you just so I can figure out how to get you a teacher to teach you what you what you need to know about demon slaying and witchery." Autumn explained to him and she put the fox down. "And I will even go to the orphanage to sign some papers because I doubt humans let someone your age live alone am I correct." Autumn said with a smile on her face and her hands on her hips. "And if people think am your legal guardian life will be a lot easier." She said to Alex and patted his head.

Alex listened to what she said and nodded, thinking it was a good idea. "Alright. would you like me to show you were the orphanage is?" He asked

"That would be a good idea but first." She said as she looked through the images and found a woman with an outfit that might work. She tapped it and slowly her dress turned into a female business suit that consist off a pencil skirt, a white blouse, and tailored jacket. Her hair was even put up nicely along with her ears and tails hidden. 'Well do I now look like someone that can adopt you now." She said with a smile and then looked at the shoes. "How can you humans wear shoes though." She asked for she was used to being barefoot all her life it was her first time wearing shoes.
