Jesse sat down on a bench, she was panting deeply, seeing as she just ran about another five miles. She kept running like this everyday, still trying to forget the memory of the man dying in her arms, after he saved her life. She felt tears whelm in her eyes as she thought about it then quickly wiped them away. She couldn't stand war anymore and was glad that she was off call, she shouldn't be called for another year, she hoped anyways. Her fellow soldiers kept telling her to go see a therapist but she refused, she didn't trust them.
It was a good day for a walk, the sun was shining and the air was warm. A man walked with his jacket slung over his shoulder, the sleeves of his emerald coloured dress shirt rolled up to the elbows. He strolled along the path which ran between the sand and grass, watching everything with mild amusement. Then as he walked a wave or sorrow cut through his feel good vibes, out of habit the Angel searched for the source with his oddly coloured eyes.
It was not any of the teens playing volleyball, or the children frolicking at the waters edge. No, his instincts told him it was the woman seated on the bench a little ways up the path. He wondered briefly as he grew closer to bench what bothered her, and if he could help.

(I had just realized I had a reply here! So sorry!)
Jesse was still panting, trying to calm her racing heart. She looked up at the bright blue sky with only a few clouds that quietly float by. She thought the it was pretty outside but then a memory flashed in her mind, the blood on her hands and clothes as she held the dead body of the man who saved her life. Her eyes widen as she pulled out of the memory, she stood up, getting ready to start running again when she noticed a man that seem to be walking towards her.

(It's ok! Happy new year, I would have replied sooner but got caught up with the in laws. I'm squeezing in some replies before I have to go prep dinner, my mom is out of the hospital for a few hours today, so I wanna cook a really great meal for her.)
Another flash of anguish cut through the air around him as he got closer to the woman. As always he wrestled with what he should do, but as she stood and looked at him a greeting fell from his lips and a friendly smile chased it. "Lovely afternoon, isn't it." He rand a hand though his pumpkin like hair, "you look pretty out of breath, are you alright?"

(Happy New Year to you too! I was with my best friend and so I didn't get on to check replies much and my boyfriend had called so I talked with him for awhile, seeing as I haven't had much of a chance to talk to him for the past two weeks.)
Jesse was still panting a bit but nodded to the man's question. "Yes, I am fine. I have just ran about five or so miles." She grabbed her water bottle and drank out of it quickly. It was clear somewhat that she got out a lot but was still almost had paper pale complexion.

Alfazon's brows flared, "Wow...you must enjoy running." He didn't believe that for a second but you just didn't blurt out that he must be running from something. "are you training for a marathon?" He tried to keep the conversation going. Aside from the vivid emotions that seemed to surround her something else held his interest, but he wasn't sure what it was just yet.
Jesse shook her head. "No, just trying to keep in shape. I don't know when I will be back on call so I have to stay in shape." She said, her panting slowing down as she caught her breath. She made sure to hold wings tightly against her back, she couldn't tell if this man was human or something else.
(Sorry for the delay. Also sorry for only being able to post once or twice a day, I hope that's not an issue. My little one ie still on winter break and a little difficult to keep busy lol.)
Another smile came to his face, "Oh, you're a solider! It's always a pleasure to meet one of our women in arms." Then he laughed, "I'm sorry, I'm talking your ear off without introducing myself. My name is Alfazon, but most people call me Al." Typically he never offered his true name, and his voice faltered after he did so; he tired to recover by adding his humanized name.

(It is alright. I understand, my older sister has two kids so I know how it is. Your kids should always come first. )
"More like a commander." She said, proudly, she was very happy with her position in the military chain. "I am Jesse Bell." She said, then held her hand out to Al. "It is a pleasure to meet you." She only had one name and she wasn't known in Heaven so it was alright to give out her real name.

Alfazon's odd magenta eyes widened a bit as the young woman said commander, "A commander, I should guess that the pleasure is mine Miss Jessie." He folded his jacket over his arm and smiled, "Mind if I ask you a few questions, I'm new in town ans don't really know where anything is," he hesitated, "well any of the good things are."
Jesse smiled at his surprise of the knowledge that she was a commander, it was a hard rank to earn. "Go on right ahead. I have been in this little town for awhile now." She said with a bright smile. She had fallen form Heaven in this area, actually, she had landed where her house now stands.
"Great!" He flashed a smile, "I need a really great restaurant, like breakfast lunch an dinner kinda place. I'm a horrible cook, I could burn water before boiling it." He was of course exaggerating, but not by far. He moved a lot, it was his theory the more he moved the more opportunities for him to help people.
Jesse laughed a bit at his comment on his cooking failure. "Well, there is a good pub not far form here, along with a few diners scattered threw out the town. I would suggest Little Mike's, they have good food there and server breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don't go out to eat much, I prefer to stay at home and cook my own food."
"Great! I'll have to remember Little Mike's, and the pub..you said wasn't far from here I'll find it on my way home." A smile came to his face as he spoke, "so what else has this town got to offer..." He then trailed off realizing he had probably interrupted her run,"I'm sorry Commander you're probably a busy woman, I shouldn't delay you. I'm sure you've got better things to do than stand around an talk to me all day." He laughed lightly, "and I really can talk all day."
(Sorry for not replying sooner! I got caught up in a bunch of rps I am doing in some groups of mine!)
"There is a elementary, middle, and high school, along with a small art gallery, an old one that few people visit. There is a gym, a park, the beach, skate rink, and a post office. It isn't a lot but this is a small town." Jesse shook her head. "It is fine. I just got back a month ago so I have really nothing to do for awhile. I don't mind chatting at all."

(It's okay I understand I've had a small hoard of kids running about since last night (sleepover) hence the delay )
Then fallen angel listened with interest as Jessie described what the tiny town had to offer and his smiled morphed into a huge, and friendly grin when she finished, "Well I'm going to take that as and invitation to do just that." He laughed, "well shall we walk and talk? Unfortunately I am not dressed to be running or jogging right now." He looked to be fairly athletic, as if did some running himself.

(I understand. Sometimes my younger sister has her friends over and they stay in my room, usually shrieking and laughing. Also, sorry for the short reply, I still have a lot of rps going on and my mind can't focus on one thing at a time. )
"Sure, why not? I probably need a break form running anyways." She said, standing then offered a smile. "Where did you move form?"
