Zakukhakt (played anonymously)

(Warning: threat of extreme violence from here on in)

Would not move at all from any collar pulling, he was like a statue that was nailed to the floor.

“I ask you to listen to reason~ come on…it good for you to give back, Kif very persistent as I’m sure you’ll know”

A growing number of black robes stood amongst the crowd, slowly gathering into a large line of people that numbered Atleast thirty, all other citizens seemed to clamber into any building they could and shuttering.

“I make this even clearer for you friend” he said to sprite specially.

“I kill everybody in hospital, your friends..and skin you alive back on ship…and get away with it completely” his left arm as three glowing barrels reveal themselves, charged and ready..burning with energy.

“So unless you ****ing stupid, you listen to Zakukhakt”

He doesn’t answer any more questions.

// The Kif coughs a few times

“Not Kal’s
Job to know..just to do, please..he hurt all of us if he doesn’t get what he wants..give him Urn…”
Neoma Alva (played by BugIsTired)

Pulling her mask and scarf over nose extremely tight, she walked into the hospital lobby and made a quick call. She walked back out to see Sprite gripping the collar of his shirt. She glared, not sure who she should glaring at. She began jogging back over to them and pulled Sprite away from him, spotting the cloaked figures. She tilted her head and stared into his soul, only an inch shorter. "My apologiez, zir. My, uh, friend here znapz eazily..." Her eye twitched as she smelled the familiar scent of lemongrass and iron, her hoard of an army had arrived. She knew they'd approach stealthily so she smirked slightly. "But... I'm afraid ve cannot give you zhey vase or your goon, at leazt not until my comradez are done with zhem. Zo, if you will be patient, you'll be reunited once again... Actually maybe not with zhey vase, for a party member haz already claimed it, and I zincerely doubt zhey'll give it up eazily." She scoffed.
"Think y'an' I got whole different perceptions of reason," Sprite huffed, only budging to give Neoma some room to stare into the Kiff's eyes as well. From the corners of her own, she spotted hooded figures advancing towards them from the masses. "Really meansa lot t'y, that pot? Could at least do us t'favor'o tellin' us why.." She'd been in tighter and nastier situations than this. This asked for a good ol' pill! "Y'ready..?"

That last sentence she'd spoken specifically to Neoma. She'd been no fool to the fact that she'd been packed toe to nose with weaponry, and if she had anywhere near the fighting spirit as herself, she knew that violence was inevitable with greedy freaks like these. Sprite's hand hovered over her pill box, ready to pop one in and release her Therion if the situation asked for it. Sure, she'd have to rush right back to the Rustbucket once she got this scrap over with or she'd take the whole hospital to the grave with the Kiffs, but her Activator pills were steady enough these days and gave her enough human consciousness to last a short battle. Hopefully, of course, the Kiffs were smarter than winding up in one..

Tense but smirking with unmatched, unimpressed cocksureness, Sprite waited for the situation to unfold. Neoma clearly was trying to stretch time too, and she was willing to play along with her plan.. granted the Elf wouldn't cower away when the moment of truth finally arrived. One wrong move on the Kiffs' part, and she'd be right on her way to beast mode.

"Hey, that's all the more reason why ya should be telling us. Whoever forced ya to do this'll be right next up on our visiting list.. and we'll make sure they won't be able to harm you anymore." Randle expected to be blasted with some 'yeah but he's richer and more powerful and scarier and blah blah blah', but nothing would change his promise. Whoever knew about the urn, knew about the evidence and the agent, which would naturally make the Kiff's client their next POI. "If he's as bad as ya say, your lives might not be the only ones on the line here. "
What Cris hadn't taken into account, much less expected, was Sprite's startled reaction as they reached the hospital. She glanced back at her, noticing the terror-struck expression of her eyes, almost a mirror of the same look she had seen time and again in his face-- the other side of the coin of the anger she felt when people in medical coats approached her children nowadays. But Cris hadn't really lived the horrors of Shadow's past; her defensiveness had been a reaction to his fear. Seeing the identical same expression in Sprite's eyes caught her off guard, but she still couldn't refrain from reaching out and placing a hand on her shoulder as she passed her by to follow the others indoors. A gesture that she prayed Sprite wouldn't take for patronizing, but that just wanted to express support, reassurance. There's no harm in being afraid, she wanted to say - but then the guards approached and her attention was briefly swayed.

"... so I can count on your confidentiality, officers?" she asked, her expression and stance betraying nothing about her thoughts. The two exchanged a glance and one weakly tried to explain:
"We understand your concerns, lady Aliprandi, but we should at the very least interrogate..."
"... my entourage has been distressed enough without the additional hassle of interrogation", Cris cut him off, and this time there was a sharp edge to her words. "We travel with a diplomatic permit from the embassador, sir, and I must stress once more that we are allowed to depart as soon as possible and with as little hassle as possible." And just like a magician pulling a card out of someone's ears, from the side of her comm she produced a laminated badge engraved with the Embassy's logo.
At once, the guards immediately dropped every objection they might have had. The more talkative of the two apologized for the distress, and together they walked off out the room, returning to their ordinary surveillance.

But the trick of the hand had deceived the eye. Even if their little group would not be bothered, Cris didn't have the slightest doubt that news of an embassy delegation in the hospital was going to be quite a buzz. Which meant the security inside the hospital would be more than on alert - at least until they left.
The three cards game never failed.

As the guards departed she turned to Randle, "I'm guessing you don't need my help to carry on from here... I'll go check on Sprite, if it's not a problem." She glanced quickly at the injured Kif and then back to Randle. "But if it can be any help, I can cover any mean of persuasion that involves creds. Whatever price he asks", she nodded toward the one-armed felon, "it's a no-brainer, okay?" It was the least she could do in return for Randle and Sprite's help to her in the past. With this, she turned on her heels and quietly left the room, not wanting to be in the detective's way during interrogations. Her steps took her back toward the ER and past the main hall, to the entrance door. She walked out, pausing just a moment to take in a deep breath...

... and then Sprite's voice reached her ears. If nothing else, she sounded in way better spirits now.

"Hey," she called out to her and Neoma, as she approached them with a walk that was both relaxed and driven, like a predator stalking its prey. "Problems?" she asked, as her cold eyes fell on the Kif that they had been talking to. Before any more words could be said, though, more and more cloaked figures started crowding around them, as if summoned.

Behind the vixen mask, something changed. If before there had been aloofness and annoyance in those eyes, now there again was a faint flicker of amusement.... but an amusement that seemed horribly wrong.

"You know, Zakuk-what-it-is - I can call you Zak? - you have a good taste for weapons but I seriously hope you choose them better than you choose loot. You and your merry friends are really throwing a scene, threatening to take on an entire hospital, bossing around people you shouldn't really boss around, risking to get a frack of beatings from the security - if you're lucky - for a piece of trash?" She snickered. "It's your mama's inheritance or your significant other's last gift before you broke up? Because honestly only sentimental value can explain such a display of force for something that's worthy... I don't know. Five creds? At a black market stall that's feeling like doing charity?"
Neoma Alva (played by BugIsTired)

Neoma smirked at Sprite's question than nodded. She than tilted her head and smiled as she knew a secret that the Kiff and his goons didnt know, in which she did. She squatted down and pulled out a shuriken from within her boot and started playing with it as if it was a butterfly knife. She smirked and nodded to someone far behind the hooded figures and this Kiff 'leader' thought anything of it, which was a mistake on his part. Slowly, but surely, a few dozen dusty blue blurs would run towards a hooded figure, choke them or knock them unconscious, than drag their bodies to a nearby building or alleyway. A small chuckle, filled with horrific pride, managed its way from the depths within Neoma, who looked down at the ground, her smirk only getting nastier, her general urges boiling up.

Looked at the two from her seat

“Kif are reputation obsessed to the point of hilarity..if he tells you anything he will eliminate any standing he has, not to meantion betray the trust of whoever he follows, if we are to get anything we need to make it worth his while…”

// The Kif says morning in response.
Zakukhakt (played anonymously)

And with that, he was left with no choice.

The arm went up so quickly for such a tall creature as a blinding light pulsed from one of the three barrels that extended from some sort of forearm prosthetic, it landed in flash of intense heat and burning onto Sprite’s belt where she had been moving her hand, turning any clothes and (unless she’s kinda special which I assume she is) her flesh into a burning pile of meat, freshly cooked, and a tone of pushing power at the very least

The henchmen behind him upon seeing their numbers slowly decrease instantly brought out weapons and began firing scarlet beams across the place in wild arcs, some taking more direct shots at the people involved.

// The second shot went toward the elf, as a smoking barrel turned on its axis, a wave of energy shot her way, kicking up dust and likely herself to send flying in the other direction //

“I give chance, remember this..”

More figures moved in from higher positions, firing off shots toward the group, sometimes missing and making a mess of the hospital windows which either broke or began melting into a molten glass state, oh it smelled bad.

The last move was a more conventional one, suddenly moving back toward his number all of which were scatteringz
SCRAP IT, her crotch! Blasted back by the stinky Kiff's gun, Sprite fell to the floor; he hadn't hit her belt like he'd intended, but instead hit her right in the awkward zone, which despite her lack of jewels still hurt like hell. Luckily it was just laser and no bullets, otherwise her hand might've been pierced too! Cursing, she crawled to the side and without a doubt, downed her wonderful indigo Activator pill. Game over.

Golden speckles started to glow in her irises, her heart throbbed like a rapid monkey in a cage. Veins bulged, organs and bones shifted.. and at last, the transformation was kickstarted. In a matter of a couple of agonizing, terrifying seconds Sprite turned from her already scrappy human shape into a three meter tall monstrosity of fur, brawn and unparallelled (although partially medically mediated) rage, tearing off all her clothes and damns to give.

With a mighty roar the Therion, the beastly Killer of Kings, announced its arrival before digging into the remaining Kiffs. Not many of her kind existed off her backwater of a planet, and it was the element of surprise that worked in her favor. Soon enough her mane was covered in a thick sludge of blood that smelled of rotten eggs; she tried to have Neoma and Cris's back in the fight, but there was only so much control she could have over her slaughtering instinct. Feral urges to take them to the afterlife with the Kiff were already emerging, and she was preparing to run off to the ship once the battle was done and over with, to make sure there wouldn't be any friendly fire..

"Met a whole lot of greedy people in my day. We'll figure something out," Randle grumbled in the meantime, slowly becoming aware of the ruckus going on outside. His hearing was halfway as keen a feral cougar's, but the hospital's thick walls proved to be a handicap. "Listen, we-" CRASH!! There was no denying it now. Whether it was by accident or not; Sprite'd launched one of the Kiff's through the window of their room, breaking the glass and fully exposing them to the chaos going on down below. That darned idiot pal of his again..
Fast as lighting, Cris dropped any pretense of reverse psychology and ducked when he opened fire, rolling sideway and landing on a knee in a half fighter-crouch; a split second later she propelled herself up again, whirling around Zak-what-was-it. In one fluid motion she drew out the katana strapped across her back and just as swiftly leapt against the much-taller Kif, grabbing his shoulder in a vise-like grip. A flash of metal and the sword halted less than a millimeter away from his neck, the sharp edge pressed tightly around the cloth.

"I give a chance too", she hissed, her voice steely and devoid of any trace of sympathy. "Guns down, or die." Being shorter than him had a double advantage; not only her additional weight pulling back his head was unbalancing him, but he also provided a shield from his own barrels and the gun shots of his companions. She was aware of the ensuing chaos that surrounded them - with the Moon elf unleashing a bunch of her own henchmen, and Sprite turning into her feral form, in addition to the security's armed backup - but she stayed focused on her target, her grip on the Kif not faltering, the sword's bite ready to tear through cloth and flesh if he wouldn't be reasonable.

Life changed people. Back in her days of Light Raygun the pirate, she'd balk at the thought of killing someone. Light Raygun the vigilante still gave out warnings, and chances; but if push came to shove and it all got down to kill or be killed, well...
Neoma Alva (played by BugIsTired)

A tall jet black haired man ran to Neoma and helped her up after she had slammed into the wall. When she looked back up, a killer gaze hazed over eyes. She whipped out her two pistols, dropped down to one knee and began taking direct head shots at the hooded figures. She had her men up on top of nearby buildings unleash Hell on the hooded figures, a horrific grin spread across her face. She lived for fighting, and hated losing.
Zakukhakt (played anonymously)

Being a part of a predator species meant it was very hard to sneak up on him especially in a battle.

As soon as the fox lady did her little Whirling truck he had shifted his metal arm to block the the blade while his spare hand whipped upward and back..long clawed fingers finding a foothold in flesh, much like a fish on a line he threw the woman with some force, tearing open her shoulder in many places.

Once down he aimed abs fires a round toward her belly, looking to inflict massive burns and internal damage .
No harming her battle-kin on her watch! Way too many kilograms of bulky muscle and rage came storming the gun-handed Kiff's way, ready to knock him to the ground with full force. His agility would pay off here; there was no escaping a Therion's charge unless one managed to step outta the way. If she'd happened to succeed, she'd plant her enormous paws on his chest and gun respectively, visibly fighting the urge to tear his face off his skull like she'd done with a couple of his comrades.. but ultimately deciding against it because tact and honor or some silly shit.

Victory was the Therion's way: kill, conquer, dominate- but sometimes, revenge was a deed held in high regard as well. An eye for an eye. Sprite was willing to battle her instincts to let Cris do away with the Kiff instead; whether that was by gutting him or contuining the bizz talk, was up to her.

Of course, if the filthy beast had somehow been able to react in time and jump out of the Therion's way, Sprite would've gone a different way, deciding to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Cris and offering her hulking body as support for getting her back on her feet. She'd lost sight of Neoma in the meantime, but tried her best to remember her scent so that she wouldn't accidentally attack her and her minions in the aftermath.

To Randle, it was now obvious that his time for questioning had ran out. Blaring alarms echoed through the hospital halls, and masses of panicked doctors, dazed patients and battle-hungry security guards streamed past the door like a raging river of flesh and bone. Watching the mauled Kiff that'd been rocketed through the window breathe its last gutteral breath, he concluded that it was time for them to move, too. But not towards the battlefield, no- the last thing they wanted was the invasion to retrieve their suspect become a success. Randle bend over and picked up the Kiff again, holding him tight to his body in an iron grip. He moved towards the door, drawing his revolver just in case, and motioned at the Hani to follow.

"Like it or not, we're gonna have to bring him to a place a little more airtight. We should be able to sneak our way to the docks- if you still want your intel about the fella who stole your vase, feel free to come along and keep ya wits about ya," he growled, and disappeared into the masses.
Barrah Kiatar (played anonymously) Topic Starter

Followed the larger cat along

“We can get out through a side entrance” she said moving with the vase in one hand and a little silver gun in another, which she used to quickly sweep doors on the way to a large red lit fire exit.

She shoved on the bar keeping the door closed and flipped out into a dingy side street, flashes of light and screams echoing from the front of the building.
Zakukhakt (played anonymously)

Dived just in the Nick of time but was fairly clumsy in his fall smacking his head with a sickening howl.

He stepped up, all shaky to sun the weapon again, he pressed a button on one side of the prosthetic that opened the central chamber and fired off a streaming explosive round, guiding around the room and slamming into the beast’s hind leg, it would dig in and explode.

That sort of thing was made for lighter vehicles but he supposed it was applicable here too.

// some of the braver Kif decided to band together in lines to fire repeatedly at the beast at all sides with searing rounds making their weapons smoke and glow in their extended use. The men whom had caught them by suprise earlier were slowly being captured, some held down and shot while others were ripped apart by blades.

//

This attack wasn’t against the usual enemy it seems.
Neoma Alva (played by BugIsTired)

As Neoma caught sight of the creature Sprite had become fall, she ran over to her, wary she might be defensive. She put a careful but caring hand on her muzzle than saw the figures surrounding them. She pulled out her longbow, retrieved a special arrow that would have the same effect on people as someone cutting an onion, luckily she had put on a pair of goggles before sprinting to Sprite. She than did her best to at least clean up Sprite's wounds. "Are you alright staying here for just a moment, Ms. Sprite?" She pulled out her guns, reloaded them, and began shooting at hooded figures until she ran out of bullets. Their shots occasionally grazing her, but this rush of adrenaline was enough to dull the pain.

Once she was completely out of bullets, she began using her long bow and special arrows, some were gases, others were similar to smoke bombs, explosions, hallucinations, and nausea. When she ran out of arrows, she used any projectile weapons she had on her. As she was fending off the small hoard of figures, her squadron became irritable, even irrational. This ticked her off and yelled in a voice that could most likely be heard through out the docs, making everyone momentarily stop.
"Hey! You zissies!! Zhis iz not how I trained you, you imbecilez! Act like a zoldier, zhink, strategize or zo help me, I'll beat you and train you till ya vant curl up and die!" As she finished her statement, the docs remained silent for a moment or two as Neoma huffed, trying to catch her breath. Than, a loud 'For Wasure Rareta and the General!!' and the squadron began taking the enemy down slowly but surely. A proud smirk creeped onto her face as she drew her longsword and did her best to protect Sprite while she was down, every once in a while jumping over her.

{btw Wasure Rareta is from one of my sci-fi rps and it's the moon/planet that Neoma and most of her squadron comes from.}
Metal clashed against metal with a scraping sound, and Cris gritted her teeth as the Kif broke free of her grip and yanked her off for an arm. She knew how to brawl just as well as other means of combat, and she normally would have been able to land on her feet or in a fighter crouch that allowed her to not lose balance, but the sudden white-hot pain in her shoulder caused her to stumble unceremoniously.

But the momentary weakness was over in a flash. As the gigantic and wild beast that now was Sprite hurled herself against the attacker, Cris leapt back to her feet, discarding the sword - for now at least - and drawing out her raygun; in a flash she fired a blast agains Zakukhakt's arttificial arm; the firs blast missed the barrel's muzzle, but was still close enough to divert the aim. Without skipping a beat, she shot again, this time aiming higher, for the shoulder joint - and, if the Kif didn't ge tout of the way, the chest underneath. She then spun on her feet and started gunning down the henchmen who'd open fire on Sprite.

"Let's take them down together, pal!", she yelled over he gunshots and screams.

Blas! Blast! Blast! When she could get a clear view, it was headshots, one after another like raging machine-gun fire. The luckiest targets would move out of the way soon enough to get shot in the neck.

But no more warning shots were fired.
Standing down was not a Therion's way; they were quite literally programmed to keep on fighting 'till the last bones and muscles in their body were rendered to pulp, which more often than not was a bigger flaw than a benefit. Hence the following scene unfolded: the Kiff's projectile had indeed embedded itself into the sole of her foot, and although Sprite managed to dislodge it slightly by shaking said foot, it blew up before she had the chance to remove it. Her hot blood splattered across the street, followed by a deafening roar that sent whoever hadn't noticed the fight going on by now racing to the other side of the station. 'Twas but a scratch! And thus she kept on fighting with only three of four legs intact.

Another downside to the Therion's notorious unquencable battle-lust was that, well, the extreme pain and trauma wasn't particularly helping when it came to keeping her beast in check. For now Sprite could tell her friends from her foes, but it would only be a matter of time until that line faded. Neoma and Cris alike were at risk of becoming her next target, if she took enough damage; as if the situation wasn't already grave enough..

With her sanity fading, so did her sense of honor too: Sprite'd been in favor of pinning the leading Kiff down to let Cris have her revenge, though now it appeared that an action like that wasn't that high up her list of priorities anymore. Many of his brethren had fallen to her fangs and claws today, yet for some reason the gun-armed one seemed to have avoided her wrath. Compared to his hooded friends, who now lay torn and dismembered on the bare concrete, he was nimble and foul.. If the opportunity arose to lock her jaws around his shoulder and crunch him to a mush, she'd more than happily take it..

Instead, she ran ahead, limping on the good three legs she had left, and rammed a duo of Kiff into the air with her head, before catching them both in her mouth. One was shredded open and thrown to the pavement by her claws, and the other was snapped apart by her mighty jaws. She wouldn't lay down, she wouldn't stand down, nor would she take orders. The only thing on her mind was victory, to conquer these Kiffs like she'd been bred to do! Obviously, if the battle was a lost cause by this point, a stunted warbeast experiment like herself was unable to notice..

"Yeah, good idea!" Randle called back to the Hani, changing his course from the back exit to one of the shady side ones. Although a panicked stampede didn't make for the safest of enviroments, being surrounded by the fleeing bodies provided them with enough cover to slip away from the battlefield. "Got my ship on the docks at the eastern flank, it's a small hike but a safe distance from whatever the hell is going on back there. We'll be alright there." Best thing was that the Rustbucket, the ship he shared with Sprite and the others, was nothing short of innocent to look at. An unassuming thing, a mere courier ship without its cargo attached. No one would suspect finding a hostage and a priceless urn in there!
Zakukhakt (played anonymously)

After seeing his numbers dwindle even he could see this wouldn’t be a normal rivalry between the group, it was becoming too costly for now.

One last action throwing a smoke grenade to the ground as he shouted sometbing in gutteral Kiff speak which made the remaining cloaked figures vanish into the darkness with a rush of robes and a few stray shots.

The place was empty for now.
Barrah Kiatar (played anonymously) Topic Starter

The road to ths docks was crowded with people, some Kif moving into buildings but nothing to stop them, they needed to regroup for sure and tangle with the legal trouble they just started.

Barrah laid eyes on this rust bucket.

“Wow…you go through space in that?” He asked ?”
Neoma Alva (played by BugIsTired)

Neoma stood there, watching the Kiffs retreat. A dopey yet evil grin appeared and would fade for a moment whenever a piece of hair fell in her face and she'd blow it away. She retrieved her arrows that were nearby, keeping a close eye on Sprite, aware that she was in a dangerous state. As she shoved her arrows back into their quiver, she scooped up her longbow and quickly carved an abstract Kiff face screaming, she smirked than she put it over her shoulder.

When she finished collecting her projectiles and various arrows from her squadron, she approached Cris and set a hand on her good shoulder. "You alright? Do I need to run an errand, get zomeone, attack, etc. etc.?" She chuckled than turned away to cough a few times, blood splattering on the ground, her wounds in her thighs, calves, arms, shoulders, and abdomen became apparent to her since the adrenaline wore off. She pulled the ribbon that held her her hair in a long thick silver braid. As it cascaded down over her shoulders, she let out a relieved sigh, still keeping her eye on Sprite.
