Mitch is running from a hoard of creatures, zombies, but, they are different, faster, worse. He holds onto Lily's hand tightly and sprints as fast as he could possibly run. He can feel his muscles being pumped full of adrenaline as his heartrate increases. The turn a corner when they see your character, Mitch yells, screams even if him and his sister could come with them. The hoard turns the corner and your character would start their vehicle as Mitch and lily gets in. Your character would hit the gas and get away from the hoard.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Modern
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
