Captain Robbins stepped out first, clad in his full ceremonial armour (which included regular protection). The shoulder pads were gold trimmed, with the rank in a dark ruby red, surrounded by a golden laurel. He had his medals and ribbons all on his left chest, with his unit on his right. Over his armour he wore an olive green trench coat made of wool, with his rank on the shoulders and unit on his chest. He had a grin on his face, aviators on his eyes, and a cigarette in his mouth.
"So, EDN has changed since I last was here. Seems you've tamed the Akrids, hmm?" Robbins said, looking straight at the guards. He nodded and chuckled. Behind him was his Honour Guard, with the company standard (Banner), a medic, veterans, a signaler, and two heavy weapons. One anti armour, and one anti infantry. A total of ten soldiers, in all. "Lead on,"
*****
"Actually, Dreath, if I read the report correctly, saw the tapes, and knew what I was doing, I'd say the soldier tried to bring you in for questioning, you intimidated him, and then you drew your pistol and shot his friend in the chest, no?" The Commissar said dryly, and put his hands on the table, angry now. He didn't give a damn who this man was. He tried to kill one of his. "Bring it on."

"Well commissar if you mind is made up there is only one thing I can do." Dreath said ending the communication. "Target the commissar's ship and fire the proton cannon." Dreath said heading to his seat. "Yes sir." The ai replied. Given how far away they were it would take just over two minutes for the cannon to hit the commissar's ship. "Fire." Dreath ordered and the cannon fired the shot. "Let us leave and report back to the emperor. I have a slaughter to plan." Dreath said as the ship left the system.
"You could've just surrendered..." The Commissar said, and watched it disappear from a satellite. He had millions of those around the air space that was HRA. In fact, there were more than he could count. Or see. They were all cloaked. "Damn aliens... Alright, target the incoming projectile. We're using energy against energy. Fire the strongest Laser batteries you have and fire the Las Turrets. Now."
10 enormously powerful laser batteries (four heavy lasers on one "barrel"=battery) targeted the Photon and fired, the huge beams shooting through space at the speed of light, hitting it with no doubt. The Las turrets fired discharge after huge discharge, not as sure of hitting it, but they would be close.

"We tamed them a while ago, Joe just approved them for military use a short time ago." The holder explained. "We use them to sniff out wild akrids, we would hate for an unprepared Akrid attack to happen right now."
The guards led them inside, the door guards saluting as they passed. Heaters became a pattern in the wall, Thermal Energy no doubt powering them. "It's obvious why we have heaters." Explained one of the escorts. "Most of our clothing produces enough heat for us to be outside for up to twelve hours, we turned up the heat specifically for this occasion, so a few guards looking a bit warm should be normal for now."
They led the diplomats into a large feasting area, covered in guards, plus several less-armored people in various clothing. Joe stood near the entrance, leaning against the foot he still had. "It's good to see you! I assume you are here for diplomatic reasons?" He shifted to his prosthetic foot.

"Joe? That old bastard? I'm surprised he's still alive." Robbins said, and looked at the snowy landscape. It reminded him so much of the Northern Stronghold, the massive fortress at the Polar Ice Cap where he trained so long ago. It was there that all snow troopers were trained, as the temperatures were the second lowest so far. The lowest being EDN itself: As cold as space itself in her northern ice cap. "You shouldn't've, but it's nice of you to."
Robbins and his Honour Guard walked forward, holding he banner up high. One of the veterans clenched his power fist tightly, forming a tight fist. Another man held his chain sword tight in his hand, like he was waiting for a battle. But none would come. They were here on diplomatic terms. Robbins stopped, held up his hand, and nodded, showing that the Guard should wait outside where they'd be useful. So someone stuck the banner in the ground, so the fabric itself wouldn't touch the floor, and sat down on a crate. "Anyone got cards?"
Robbins entered the room and grinned, taking off his sunglasses, and smiling. There was Joe. Once an enemy, now, perhaps, a friend. "It's good to see you, too! How's your leg doing? Still have one left after I've been through?" Robbins asked, chuckling. He looked down, and winked, joking: "Naw, I'm just here to take the rest of you with me. How've you been?"

As the photon shot was hit mid flight it exploded then and there. The explosion damaged some near by ships but all in all they came off lucky. At the same time on the other end of the galaxy in an unknown part of space Dreath's ship appeared around Calumar or sometimes refereed to as Voriarn prime. The massive planet appeared green from space and it was about five times the size of earth. The massive planet had an equally powerful defense. The massive Voriarn empire fleet. The fleet was large enough to surround the planet in a web like formation. This made sure that not a single inch of space around the planet was unsecured. Among the many thousands of ships surrounding the planet there were many more cloaked ships around the planet as well. Dreath's ship went down to the surface. Upon entering the atmosphere one could see a lush jungle climate. The lush jungle had very well camouflaged defenses like anti air guns and orbital cannons. Dreaths ship landed at the Voriarn emperors palace on one of the thirty landing pads. The palace in it's self was a city that had millions to billions of Voriarn guards and others in it at all times. The architecture was mostly a sleek dark red and silver color for the majority of it. Dreath was greeted at the palace by thousands of guards and two squads of four honor guards. The honor guards stood eight foot tall and wore sleek flexible armor with extended shoulder pads and a headdress as well as a visor that covered there face. So they were fully enclosed in cloak able armor. They also wielded a powerful plasma staff slimier to the one Dreath used but these ones had a extended bit on top which allowed it to fire a high powered laser shot that would causes organic material to burn up. Dreath was escorted to the emperor still in his human form so he could discuss the results of his mission and there plans for war.
"My leg? Well it's somewhere in a Thermal Energy flow." Joe replied. "Come! Sit down and I'll have food and drink be brought to us." Joe said as he walked over to a chair. "Have you and your men have a seat across from me. I assume we have many things to discuss."
The EDF decided to send down a shuttle to this planet with strange energy. five EDF Standard solders and two scientists got into the shuttle and it flew down to the planet. And landed roughly two kilometers from the location of Joe (Or 1.24274 Miles... Just round that down to 1 mile) And began to set up a small camp at their location
Alec had heard the Reports of the com message from his Ships, He turned to the base leader "We are war..." He said and turned to walk out. This disturbed him. Disturbed him deeply, After only two months, one week and two days of peace. Yes He was counting because those days of peace meant everything to him.
An EDN scout saw them set up camp. He had a leashed pack hunter that started growling in their direction. The scout dropped a device into the snow, before running back to the base. He organized a team with pack hunters, before making their way back to the EDF group.
"EDF Ship, I repeat, surrender your vessel or we will use deadly force." The Captain of the Battleship said, repeating the message again. He looked over at the ship. They still couldn't see it on scanners.. But maybe radar, and if that didn't work, they'd use the satellites. "Alright, launch satellites, and use Radar. Get a 4D picture of the ship. I want to see live feed of it spliced together from every ship."
Fifty small drones, and ten satellites were ejected into space. The satellites began orbiting the planet, cloaked in black, absorbing paint that took the radio, light, and energy waves from radar and scanners and adding it to their own energy. They began deploying cameras, sensors, radar, antennae to intercept and decode messages, and started looking at the EDF ship. Soon, they and the cloaked drones surrounding the ship out of their weapons ranges, began compiling live feed, complete with grids and precise coordinates of the ship.
That's when they spotted the shuttle. It was moving fast, and they saw it. But just briefly. By then it was a flaming ball of fire entering the atmosphere and landing. They knew where it had landed, but they didn't dare shoot it with orbital bombardment. Too risky.
"Dammit! They launched a shuttle! Where's the position?" The captain said, and looked at the 4D video of the ship. There they could see where the hanger doors were, and they weren't closing super fast. Enough time for a Valkarie missile if they really wanted. "Fire a Valkarie missile into their hanger bay! Use their coordinates or go to manual if you need to, just fire it! Laser batteries, hit their engines! Las turrets, fire at their weapons systems if you can find it!" (They're running on manual practically. It's not that accurate.)
"Yes sir. Found the shuttle." The 1st Lieutenant said, and projected the coordinates onto the Captain's console. He looked at it and his eyes narrowed. He knew those coordinates. It was the sight of Robbins's attack on the rig. Not only that, but it was a burial ground for one of the men that died on there. And it was close to where Robbins was now. "Sir?"
"Tell Robbins that there's an enemy installation nearby. Send five fighters and one dive bomber to investigate. Now!" The Captain ordered, and looked out into the abyss. He saw ten heavy Laser Batteries shoot out into space, smashing into the EDF ship. Five las turrets began pounding the enemy with high powered las discharges, and four Valkarie Missiles shot into the enemy hanger bay doors.

"Sir," One of the Honour Guards said to Robbins' ear. He gave him the report of what the captain was doing, and Robbins looked at Joe with wide eyes.
"Joe... There's an enemy of ours on your planet without permission!" Robbins said, and listened more, looking at Joe again. "And it's where the Rig was... Two clicks from here!"

Joe looked at his wrist device as a blue hologram screen came up. A message detailing unknown people was opened. "I have troops heading that way. We should join them, most of them haven't fought in an emperor storm, and one is coming." He said. "Vagabundo! Get me my plasma rifle!"
"Sir! We have detected a landing on the planetary surface." The sensors officer exclaimed. "It's not EDN or HRA."
"This can't be good." The captain muttered. "Prep a shuttle. Commander, you have a conn." Terminus nodded to his first officer as he walked off the bridge.
Terminus didn't like that the shuttle had seemingly come out of nowhere.

With a war with the HRA imminent Dreath was allowed to use what ever means he saw fit to winning this war. Dreath stood over one of the palaces many balcony's over looking a court yard filled with tens of thousands of troops standing in formation. There were many troops in basic uniform that resembled the honor guard armor but without the extended shoulders and headdress they were also only six foot tall. There were multiple different tanks from artillery to anti air to transport tanks. All of which were armed with the appropriate weapons. "Sir we have ten million men strong in the first attack fleet. They are awaiting your command." Drexus said. "Very good I shall go to my ship and prepare for our first attack." Dreath responded. Death was wearing similar combat armor to the stranded soldiers but his had a small headdress and he had two blade like bits pointing up on his shoulders and a cape. The armor was mostly maroon red and grey with a blood red strip going down each arm. Drexus was wearing similar but without a headdress. Dreath was teleported directly to the bridge of a capital assault ship. The third largest ship in the fleet measuring four kilometers in length. The ship had twelve heavy cruisers, six large war carriers and eighteen smaller assault frigates. Each of the small assault frigates would have a large force of ten thousand men each. With the other ships holding much more. The assault fleet was accompanied with over six thousand fighters. The fighters were a thin body with a one way viewing dome as the cockpit and four blasters around the dome. Each fighter had shields and the capacity to make small space jumps themselves. The whole fleet also had the ability to cloak to allow lethal surprise attacks. "All ships cloak and warp to our target." The fleet then cloaked and warped to there destination. They are heading for a large mining world to cut off large amounts of resources to the HRA.
Alec was back at one of the Red Faction bases, Jenkins walked into the room "You wanted to see me?" Jenkins asked sitting down on one of the chairs in the makeshift office, Red Faction buildings were alot more rundown then HRA Buildings. "Yes I did" alec said sighing "Jenkind, we are at war again... We are about to be jumping back into to hell..." he started shaking "ALL BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID TRIGGER-HAPPY ALIEN!" Alec yelled out in anger, Jenkins put up his hands "Woah calm down Mason, Otherwise you might make me look sane" He said putting his hands down to his sides, Alec sighed and put a hand to his face "Im sorry... Its just I was looking forward too peace... But we cant abandon are HRA Allies either. And we have been losing contact with supply stations and transports..." he then turned to Jenkins "im going too go to their homeworld... Not for war but to try and resolve this problem... Until then your in charge" Alec finished and stood up, with Jenkins noding "I wont let you down" he said smiling, which put a smile on alecs face "I know you wont" he said walking out
Alec got to an Airpad and got into a small refitted Gunship, This Gunship had no guns or weapins. It was a Civilian version for cargo so it had no MRF, EDF or HRA markings, He hoped it would allow him to get in without being shotdown. He took off and set a course

"Honour Guard, assemble!" Robbins ordered, and grabbed his SMG. He pulled back the hammer, checking the drum magazine. Then he looked at the discharge count. Good. It was a full 150 discharges. He put his cap back on his head, and started running out to the Raider that brought them there (Raider R-1: Enclosed transport tank with twin linked 23mm PACs. Used now because of the cold), opening the door. "Joe, you need a ride?"

"Is my shuttle ready?" Commissar Jhark asked, and straightened out his uniform, walking to the door of the command and control station. Similar to the bridge, but the bridge was for war and travel. They were neither in a battle, nor were they traveling.
"Yes, sir. Do you want me to send a distress signal to the 4th Fleet?" Captain Jhark responded, and looked a little worried. A war. Not only that, but the second war so far that they were being pulled into. Almost a World War, as the ancients would call it.
"Yes. And the 5th Fleet. Send a Diamond Channel message to Homeworld, and priority one messages to every colony, station, ship, and territory that we own. Tell them to fortify and organize their militia. The Imperial Guard, Navy, and Air Force will be there soon."
"Yes, sir. Should I deactivate the Planet shield?"
"No. Tell the other resource, manufactorum, and fortress worlds to do the same." And with that, Commissar Jhark walked to his shuttle and got on board. From there, he sent a message (type yes inbetween two parenthesis if you actually read this) to MRF, stating that he'd be there soon.
The shuttle departed from the hanger bay doors that were pointed towards the planet's surface. And even from there, he noticed large smoke pillars flying up from the smoke stacks, and out into space. They never released any smoke into the atmosphere. Not anymore. The first time was only to establish an atmosphere.

"Yes, Comm- Oh, Captain. It's you. Where's your father?" The Fleet Admiral asked, a little confused. Captain Jhark was Commissar Jhark's son, but not many paid attention. And Captain Jhark hated that. He wanted to be recognized. The only reason Commissar Jhark came here was that he needed a little guidance. But otherwise, this was his command.
"He's heading down to the planet's surface. I was asked to request the 4th and 5th fleet for both defense and offensive operations." The captain said, and looked serious in what he said, which was a good thing. He didn't want to be looked down to like a child.
"Very well. I shall give you the ships you need. Where do you need them?" The Fleet Admiral asked, thinking he knew the answers. He didn't, but he was going to improvise and strategize.
"The 4th fleet shall be divided amongst the resource, manufactorums, and all fortress worlds equally, providing all SS ships for use of hit and run tactics. The 5th fleet shall be used solely for offensive capabilities. I shall use Mars as the headquarters."
"Very well. Fleets inbound. Good luck, Captain."

There were four major planets in the area, and two colonies. Of those six territories, two of the planets were used for mining, synthesizing, and resources in general. One planet was a fortress world, and the other was an Agri world (farming). All four were major places for people to settle, having over a billion people each.
And all of them raised their shields instantly. Every single planet had around 5,000,000 Imperial Guardsmen as a militia, and they had their own naval defense fleets, fighters, and other fast craft. They had what was known as Coastal Guns (Huge five barreled 10 meter gun turrets (the barrels are 10 meters wide each) scattered all across the landscape.
Even more common was the Las turrets and Laser batteries, used for defense against huge ships. And many lighter defenses were common, too. 150mm anti aircraft batteries were very common, but the most common was 43mm anti air/infantry/tank guns.

Dreath's attack fleet appeared cloaked just out side the range of Tyros and it's defense fleet. "My lord the planet is heavily defended. It has several ships orbiting it but we are out of range. We will be able to sneak in several cloaked drop ships to ambush the people and the surface then once ground defenses have been neutralized terminate there ships." A officer said to Dreath. "Very well. Send twelve drop ships down. We wont get anymore in without risking being seen. But with each ship having a tank and sixteen troops the odds are in our favor." Dreath said. As he said this the twelve ships headed to the surface. They would land out side the largest city or settlement and while remain cloaked sneak in and start the attack on Dreaths command. With there cloak on the only way they will be discovered is if someone or some thing runs into them.
I swear to god at least one of you wants to take over EDN III at any given point.
so could someone give a summery of the previous few pages and a good explanation of what is going on at the current moment.
EDN Soldiers couldn't see them, but Pack Hunters could smell them. Groups of them would go berserk, smelling the threat on their territory. EDN Soldiers took groups out, letting them lead them towards the EDF soldiers.
