The timer you see in your browser is based on your local system time, and will never sync exactly between your computer and the Server computer.

I'm aware it's likely 1-5 seconds off for many folk, which is why there's that "new round is starting" reload delay now

Well, what I mean is that, like, if I refresh, it'll be significantly lower after than before, more than there's been time to pass.

I've had that issue the whole event, I thought it was either normal or just lag on my side o.o

I mean it'll be further off if it sits for a minute and then I refresh, then if I refresh within a few seconds.

But yeah, usually working with timeframes under a minute, sometimes up to a few minutes (between the page loading an then reloading it). Just seems like the longer it is, the more seconds behind it'll fall, then catch up on a reload.

Yeah, I've just been periodically refreshing to keep things on track. It's worked well enough for me.

Any chance the timer is putting extra fractions of seconds in as it goes...?

Even when I try to follow the logic of those things, very often I have no idea how people reach the apparently correct conclusions they did. I think it's nice that Kim's been sharing the logic on solved things, though.
