I have played a lot less then I normally do

Just be aware the prices shift around. It's worth trying to wait until you can fix at least 2 uses per hat.

well since I paid 3 hats for 7 uses

If you get really lucky, sometimes you can get 3 uses per hat, at 6 for 2.
