The scorpion beasts color changed to a light grey an shook its head looking at Chris with slight confusion it's tail still moved back and forth and it's pincers opened as wide as they could get although its clicking sounds became more brief and subtle

"Um, Chris? Do you think talking to it is going to help?" Ember asked, a couple meters away from Chris.

Chris nodded "This is an Intelligent being, He or She deserves to be treated as such" he then looked at the Scorpion "Tell me, Why do you reside here?" he asked with a curios tone

The scorpion being backed up against a wall and started clicking some more, it does not seem to retain the power of speech like the last one did

"I don't think it can understand you." Ember observed, walking closer to it.

The scorpions beasts color changed red as Ember got closer and it's tail locked onto Ember where she was standing making clicking noise rapidly acting more aggressive than just a moment ago

Chris quickly put an arm in front of Ember to make her stop moving "Hay its alright" He said calmly looking at the Scorpion "If you can understand me... Raise your left claw, Thats your left not mine"

The scorpion beast turned grey again then looked at its left claw, limited in joint movement instead of lifting it, the scorpion tapped its left claw against the ground gently it's clicks becoming brief and subtle again

Ember took a few steps back behind Chris. "Um... it looks like you got this." She said before leaning against the rocks that lined the wall, feeling a little irritated that she could not be of help. She tilted her head back and observed the metal spikes that stuck out from the wall. She frowned, starting to wonder why Chris had brought her here in the first place, and what the goal was of going through the 'volcano'. She decided to ask Chris later, and let him deal with the matter at hand.

Chris then looked at the Scorpion "Ah so you do understand me" he said smiling and then remembered something. he took out a small totem from his bag "Dont be alarmed this will hopefully let me understand you" He then put it on the ground and it shined blue "Try saying something in your language, Hopefully it will translate it"

Ember watched curiously as he pulled out the strange object from his bag. He face showed confusion and wonder as the totem lit up.

The scorpion beast took a second before it's eyes lit up brighter than normal for a moment and took the totem in it's claws making sure not to crush it, it still didn't communicate but it did find a slot for the totem which it had fit perfectly, a large slit opening revealing a hallway deeper into the volcano, the Scorpion pointing it's claws that way gesturing for the two to go first

Chris smiled and turned to the door and started skipping towards the door with a huge grin on his face

"Looks like your friend can tame scorpions." Shivan said, walking up from behind them. A snow elf, a rare species to even hear of. Light blue skin, white hair, and blue eyes. In her eyes however, where there should be white, was black. The biggest giveaway of her being a Snow Elf.

Ember didn't have time to catch up with Chris, being startled by the sudden guest. She yelped and stumbled, clutching her chest to calm down her speeding heart rate. "W-when did you get here?" She chocked out.

Chris spun around and saw his new person "Hi there!" He yelled smiling and put an arm around Ember "I am Chris and this is Ember" He then turned to Ember and whispered to her "Hay its ok, Calm down" He then looked at this new person "Who might you be?"

The scorpion turned to the new person and it turned orange, it's tail pointing straight up aiming at the new person, going into a hostile manner of defense

Chris looked at the Scorpion "Hay its alright" He said in a soothing tone "It wont harm you in any way" He then turned to the new being "Or I will rip off her head and use it as a ball" He said with a smile

The scorpion shook it's head and turned grey again, turning to head down the hallway that had just opened up, making constant clicking noises obviously angry

Ember flinched at Chris's words, not knowing if he was joking or not. With him, she could never tell.
