Ember smiled. "Alright then, is there anything that you need the most of?" Ember asked, mentally making a list.
"A spell that would get rid of this blood curse I have" He sighed "BUUUUT I know there is no such thing... Hmm well..." He took out a small bottle, it had a red liquid in it along with a gold hue "Give this to a merchant please?" He asked handing it to her
Ember took the bottle and observed it with curiosity. "What is it?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"nothing... Just give it to the merchant..." He said motioning her to goto town
"...Okay." Ember took a few step towards the town, looking at the bottle. She stopped and turned to Chris. "You sure you don't need anything else?"
"No just food and water will be fine..." He said kicking the ground, he then sat on a down log and waited
"Alright..." Ember said, starting to walk away. She soon found the town not far off, and went straight to the first market she saw. She pulled out a wallet from her back pocket and started to count the money she had earned by becoming a temporary waitress at numerous restaurants. She want around buying fruit's, vegetables, bread, and other items that she thought would be useful. She went up to a random merchant and gave the bottle to him, completing the quest for her friend. After her arms were full, and she was sure that she couldn't carry anymore, she left the town and came back to the spot where she had last seen Chris.
"By the gods!" the merchant said with a surprised look "My son... Can be saved! Thank you young woman!" the Merchant yelled and gave her one thousand five hundred gold pieces! he quickly put up the "Closed sign" and ran off
Chris was still there and he then stood up "Thank you"
Chris was still there and he then stood up "Thank you"
"Hey Chris, are you willing to tell me what was in that bottle now?" She asked, thinking back to the merchants reaction. "'Cause it seems to me that there was something really important in that bottle."
"I know that merchant... His son had an incurable disease... He would have died in about two weeks... that bottle..." He pulled up his sleeve of his cloak and shirt to show a white cloth around his arm, the cloth had red marks on it, along with a slight gold hue on it, then rolled his sleeve back down
"It was... your blood." Ember observed, then sat down next to him. You may be crazy, but your a really nice guy." Ember said with a smile, handing over some bags. "Here I got you some food and water." She said with an outstretched arm.
"Im not crazy! Its everyone else who is insane!" He said with a big smile, then took the stuff "Thanks! You can keep the money the merchant gave you, My thanks!" He smiled and then looked at her "What are you going to do now?"
"Hm... dunno." Ember said while she swung her legs back and forth. "But that's always how it is, life is full of surprises. Oh, and theres something I wanted to show you." She said as she pulled off her beanie, reviling her ears. "I get the feeling that you've seen weirder, so I don't think its such a big deal now." Ember said as she shrugged.
He titled his head, then rubbed his eyes, then blink a bunch of times "...Wow... I have not seen any of your kind since I was... What two, Three years old?" He looked at her ears a lot "where have your kind been all this time I wonder?" He was asking himself. Then turned to her "But that's beside the point" He said turning to her "Maybe... Il tag along for awhile, If that's alright with you?"
Ember smiled, having traveled alone for awhile it would be a nice change of pack to have someone with her. "Yeah, sure." She said and looked up at the sky. "But it is getting pretty late... we should find somewhere to rest."
Chris looked at a hotel in the town, He sighed "Alright..." He put his cloak so close to his face he could hardly see or breath "lets go and get this over with" He said and started walking towards the town
Ember chuckled and grabbed his arm, pulling him back. "We don't have to go there." She said with a smile. "Come on, the stars are out tonight and its not too cold. Sleeping outside never hurt anyone."
"...I think the grass we lay on would argue..." He said with a smirk. Then followed her "Where do you have in mind?" He asked keeping on alert
"Well..." Ember said, coming to a clearing that was mainly dirt, with a few exceptions of tuffs of grass poking out. She pulled out two small sleeping bags from one of the bags that she carried, throwing one to Chris. "I always found the thought of camping fun."
"My Idea was ruined after my uncle Bob got eaten by a bear... Or did my uncle eat the bear?" he put the sleeping bag down and unrolled it "I have not seen him in awhile, I think something about 'Stealing the Kings Cow to make a King Burger'... To be honest I think 'Burger King' Sounds better then king burger" He said getting into his sleeping bag
