Jazmine walked through the doors of her new school, quickly scanning her surrounding at become accustom to them. It was her first day going to school. Ever. The orphanage had though it was time for her to get out and see the world a bit.
Jazmine looked around nervously, trying to remember where the office was. A bell rang overhead and students started to flood the halls, confusing Jazmine. She flattened herself against the wall and tried to get someones attention to ask where the office was, a task that she failed miserably at. "Excuse me?" She repeated. "I'm trying to look for the office, can someone give me directions?" The students continued to pass her as if she were not there.

(Can I join? The character I used to ask this isn't the one I'll be using.)

Vincent walked past the girl when he heard her ask for directions. Walking back, he got her attention. "Follow me. I have to go to the office too. Are you new here as well?"

Jazmine smiled in relief. "Yes, but I was never given any directions as to where to go." Just a few minutes ago she was dumped randomly by the school and left there with no instructions as to what to do.

"Well to be honest, I got dropped here without anyone telling me what to do. But the principal said that they were expecting a new femal student and he told me where the office was. Then I'm guessing he went to the office. But enough of me talking your ear off, follow me." Vincent grabbed the girl by the hand and began to lead her to the office.

Jazmine followed without hesitation, feeling very lucky that this person had found her. "Thank you very much. I'm Jazmine, by the way." She said as she tried to keep pace with him.

"I'm Vincent. so, where did you come from? did you go to another school before this one?"

"Um... I guess you could say that." Jazmine thought about it for a moment. "I mean, I came from an orphanage, and they teach have a school in there for the little kids that I went to for some time. So if that's considered a school, then yeah." Jazmine said looking deep in thought.

"it wasn't one of those cruel orphanages, was it?" Vincent asked, completely curious now. they continued to walk and Vincent remembered that he'd probably come to hate the long walk to the main office.

"Cruel...?" Jazmine thoughts flashed to the place that she called her home, and the other girls that would often pick on her and call her names. However, Jazmine never really let it get to her. She smiled at Vincent. "No, I wouldn't say that the keepers are cruel. They are actually quite nice." In face, they were the only people that Jazmine talked to.

"well that's good. here we are, the office. the principal said he would talk to both of us at the same time to make things easier on his schedule."

Jazmine nodded. "What about you?" She asked. "Have you ever been to school before?" She was eager to learn more about school and what to do.

"to be honest this is my first time at school as well. I've lived in a forest for the past couple of years and I taught myself how to survive."

"The woods...?" Jazmine echoed, surprise coloring her voice.

"I'll explain as soon as we get out of here." Vincent lead her into the office. "I was told to bring the other new student here with me." He told the woman at the front desk.

The woman at the front desk nodded and punched in a number on the phone. She pressed the receiver to her ear, and the faint sounds of ringing could be heard before a muffled voice came on. "The new students are here." The office lady said simply and hung up. "Third door to your right." She instructed and point to a hallway behind the front desk.

"Thank you." Vincent said and let go of jazmines hand. The young man walked in front of jazmine until he got to the third door to the right and he knocked.

"Come in." A voice said from the other side of the door. When they entered it was a small room that was taken mostly by a large table that had six seats surrounding it. A man, probably in his late 40's, sat at the far end of the table. "Go on and sit down, I take it that you had no trouble finding the office?"

"Nope. No problem at all." Vincent said as he sat down in a chair on the side opposite the principal.
