As rivals in college our characters aren’t the best friends. One day they get into an argument and have an accident.
They wake up in a mysterious mansion they can’t escape from and even has to work together to make it.
This is a new world with strange creatures and they have to behave just as well they are expected to, to blend in.
I’m open to more ideas and world building alternatives. This is my first time suggesting anything here so I hope I did everything right.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Renaissance
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
