"One thing you need to know about us mages: we are studies of great power, power greater than any weapon ever before wielded by man. Some of us control and tame powerful energies from being unleashed on the world. Others unleash their magics to cast the darkest of flames at anyone unfortunate enough to stand in their way. Some strive to learn the secrets of great mages before them, gods even, and what powerful magics they must have controlled. Years ago we were feared by all of the human nations, they tore themselves apart to cause genocide to our kind, and what powers they found tore the nations apart in a power hungry struggle. The world has forgotten about those times but the mages are not soon to let our powers known by the new nations forged from the blood of our kind. Many more of us are re-emerging, but I fear that if these coming generations do not see the power of the mages, then it shall the hour of technology, and all manor of weaponry. This one thing, you need to know about us mages is: Where will you stand when it comes to our dire hour? and what kind of mage will you be, what will you do for the change in this world?"

It is a lovely summers day, there are brown, and green apple trees all around, meadow-like grass under boots. Scenic hills and brown mountains that gleam in the sunlight. This is the far, eastern countryside of Trenzor. It is a rare occurrence to see anyone else around these forests. Beasts and insects are known to be around this area, so only a few hunters ever come here. In secret, in the back of the forest is a tower, it is fairly old, made of stone and wood. It is an old mage tower, dating back to the days a few generations ago when the mages were a powerful group of people. The mages have since gone out of style, so the saying goes. In this tower, past the old wooden door, is an empty, almost sad abandoned tower. There are empty bookshelves, small holes in the wooden floor, bones laying around the floor, broken stairs that don't look safe to stand on, a caved in part of the upper tower and a draft. The whole sight is saddening. A board lifts open from the floor and a big, poofy, tall, mage-hat pops out of the lifted board and a face looks up. A human woman, in her late twenties, she has light white skin, she have a pretty, thin, looking face. She has this look on her face like she is surprised to see but glad either way, she has a funny look on her face like she has something in store, an adventure, or a project to work on. "Oh do I have something you will just love!"

Avalon the young white hair Mage walked quietly threw these woods, her wooden staff in hand. Pausing for a moment she brushed her hair out of her face and leaned on the staff putting most of her weight on it.The staff, white in color, was made from a very rare White oak tree. It was all the remained of the tree that her father had grown for her. When people cut down the woods where it grew she managed to save what was left of it. With a soft sigh Avalon then continued on her way quietly.

Vara smiles and rises from the boards slowly, Her long golden locks of hair fall from her cap. She holds her hands out in front of her and leaps forward! Vara dives for the floor and misses. A green furry animal scurries out the door to the tower. Vara shoots a magical bolt at the animal, the bolt spins like a bola. The magic bola strikes the beast as it leaves the door to the tower. Vara rises and walks out of her tower in her patched up grey robe. She looks down to her captured animal and looks around the forest a moment. She has the senses to know that a humanoid is in the forest with her.

In a forest, towards the darker parts of the woods, a head bobbed just above the tops of some bushes on a path. A dark blue cloak billowed out from behind this figure who was eagerly making her way down this trail.
Laverna Lucan had received a letter not long ago in the past week, addressed to none other than the person herself. She had been so excited. It was invitation to meet with a particular person. The only problem was that the place mentioned in the letter was deep into the forest. Laverna wasn't a wimp, and would punch out any guy, or girl, but mainly guy, if he called her a scaredy cat. But this place did have almost an eerie feeling to it once she got deeper into the forest, or maybe that was just her imagination?
Laverna stopped a moment on her speedy pursuit to take another quick look at the letter, making sure she was headed the right way.

Avalon continued her track threw the woods, her icy blue eyes keeping a close watchful eye out for any danger that may be lurking in the shadows of the trees. Though she was not worried, she could defend herself easy though not as powerful as her father had been she had nearly mastered the art of magic, but she still needed a bit more training to fully control some of her powers. That would come in time, with practice she would someday master them as well.

Vara looks down to her captured creature. She had this animal to deal with, so she drags this green animal by its bindings back to her abandoned tower, by the mountain-side. She would lift the small animal up with both hands and keep it a distance away from her. The pitiful animal looked sad, captured, and helpless. Vara enters her tower and kicks a floorboard aside and jumps down into the lower part of her tower "Now I need to find a cage for you."

After examining the letter yet another time, Laverna started walking at a quick pace again in the direction she that she believed was indicated on the paper. Since she was so deep in the wilderness, she hoped she wouldn't see any beasts.
After what felt like an hour to Laverna, although it wasn't, she noticed something different about the forest she was walking in. Instead of seeing tree after tree, she catches a glimpse of a gray colored thing off in the distance where the trees seemed to be thinning out.
Laverna's attention was so caught up in the new sight, and the idea that this was her final destination, that she did not notice the change in the terrain beneath her feet. Laverna's foot got stuck between two rocks. She let out a startled cry as she fell to the ground.
Laverna propped herself up with her hands and took a look at the perpetrator who had just caused her alarm. She had been tripped by a rock. Laverna's face became red with embarrassment that a rock had caused this humiliating situation for her. Well, at least no one was around to see that.

Avalon heard something in the distance, her keen hearing picking it up but she was unable to deturman what it was. So she begain to head off that way using her staff to get over or down from rocks as she made her way down a hill.

The two traveling mages seemed to be close to one another and close to the tower. Are these two strangers? could they think the other is dangerous? Out for betrayal? Or a new best friend to walk with? Whatever the first thought is; A mage must remember that being secretive about their powers to strangers that might not practice magic. If nothing else then they should be cautious about the other and subtlety, or bluntly find out the others hidden objective. This can be handled peacefully or dangerously.

The most dangerous thing in this forest could be another person.

Laverna picked herself up and dusted off her clothes from the dirt. She never really traveled through forests much,so she didn't have much experience in that part.
"just get to the tower, and everything will be fine," she tried to reassure herself. She flicked her ponytail up into the air, and started brushing past the bushes and rocks, trying to make her way to the spot she thought was where the tower was. She definitely wasn't going about it quietly.

" Are you alright?" The soft musical voice asked, as Avalon stepped out of the tree's her icy blue eyes glowing from the shadows for a moment for she stepped into the light, showing off her knee length pure white hair.

This area seemed like the safest in the forest. It was open with not 'too many' rocks to trip on in sight.
The tops of the trees didn't block out as much of the sky and the old tower was in plain sight, only a few paces from where they stood.

Stating any knowledge that the tower still has mages in it could be bad for mage kind. Will this knowledgeable adventurer keep the tower a secret or trust this stranger. Who knows if they are here for the same reason, or worse reasons.

Laverna jumped when she heard the voice behind her. When she turned around, all she could do was gawk at the appearance of this stranger. She expected to see a worn, foresty looking traveler, but instead there was this young looking girl, maybe around her own age, even pretty. The hair was what caught her attention the most.
Feeling conscious of her appearance now, Laverna quickly brushed off any more dust she might have had on her when she had fallen. Laverna spoke up to the stranger, "of course I'm alright, why wouldn't I be?" she questioned her. "Who are you anyway, and why are you all the way out here?"

" my names Avalon, and as to why i'm out here. " She said before smiling softly " i'm looking for something my father once told me was out here" She said simply. Her voice was so soft, she almost sounded more like a princess then an old mages daughter.

JadeHawk remained under her tower in her magical workshop, unknowing of what commotion would be going on outside of her tower.

The mage tower rose above the trees just next to the two strangers. The tower itself was no secret. The secrets that might lay inside is quite another thing.

"Is your family important?" Laverna asked, "my family knows every family that deserves knowing of." As Laverna spoke, she glanced behind herself, "Well, I don't know what it is your looking for, but I do know what I am looking for, and I see it now. I'm a very busy person and need to get going. Good luck finding whatever it is your family sent you away for." She said to Avalon. Laverna flicked her ponytail out behind her and waved her hand as she started walking towards the tower she saw. Finally, she was getting closer to the door.

" my family did not send me away there dead!" Avalon said in an annoyed tone seeing the tower " and this must be what im looking for to" she said

Vara, in her lab looks up at her ceiling and hears the commotion above her. She signs "So how did two people end up here exactly..." She says to herself. Vara goes off to her wardrobe and changes into something else as quickly as she can and she makes her way up to the lower portion of the tower.

Vara will be a moment to arrive. For now the tower is empty and decrepit. No signs of mages since the old days of mages.

Laverna paused just as she started to enter the old building. She glanced behind at Avalon, feeling a bit guilty. "I'm sorry, I didn't know..." she trailed off. Hearing the sudden words from Avalon broke down her tough girl superiority, and she apologized. She then added, "my family might as well be dead too."
Laverna turned back to the entrance of the tower. "Well, let's go in together, since we both need to be here," She said. She was starting to like the idea of company in this spooky looking tower. it didn't even look like it had been lived in for years. Was this the right place?

Avalon just nodded quietly before walking closer to the tower " come on lets cheek this place out" she said with a smile as she drew closer to the door she slowed down a bit feeling a bit uneasy
