I enjoy the farming game, farming, building, and creating. I think anymore and it would be overwhelming.

Also, you want to add combat to a game where I kept losing items last year because a campfire kept starting in my storage chest, where this year I was seeing tables that would explode into cobwebs, and that continues to have item counts randomly double until the game talks to the server again.

(Still love it, Kim, and greatly amused by those things, but I can only imagine how crazy things would get with combat added. )

The most likely next addition to the farming game is fishing, not combat
