I'm not sure if any are being focused on, but if some things seem more sensible than others (like a well by a farm compared to a smelter in the woods), aim for the more useful thing.

Are you exploring first, then taking the weapon once you know the route?

i just try to bring it there, no questions asked.

It's good to scout first. Seems like it'd take longer, but it actually makes things a lot faster and easier.

People who beat that game the most explore first, without the weapon, and only go back and get it when they know where to bring it. It's MUCH faster and safer

Sometimes, if I rule out all other routes, I'll bring the weapon partway down the only remaining path so long as I have a safe place to leave it before the path splits again.

Don't feel dumb or anything. We all did that we we started out. We all had to learn.

There's none.

It also lets you get an idea of the path and layout of the rooms, so you know better what to expect and aren't dragging the weapon around so many places.
