Previous news and prompts, archives...it could be anything.

"Frozen moments" makes me wonder if it's another FOBETEO thing, like the first video of gaming with the troll, since the second was already included.

Or a comic. Still images rather than a video.

I like this idea a lot. Maybe one of the comics from last year had something added to it!

I was thinking FOBETEO too, but could only find one video, the Winter Welcome - FOBETEO 2016. What's the other?

I was just thinking of the saying "to be nothing but smoke and mirrors" so there surely won't need to be actual smoke and mirrors involved but otherwise I guess I don't have a clue yet... Maybe we need to wait for some bottle message again!

We can always use more bottles! And it's worth considering, riddle clues can be plays on words or quite literal.

There's one where they first meet the troll and one where the troll returns with an "army." The second was apparently supposed to be what a previous clue, an "old, cold game" referred to. Dunno, that whole puzzle made no sense to me, and I haven't spent much time on any of them.

The extra clues are on a timer and start to appear when it's taking too long to solve a particular puzzle. I wouldn't bank on waiting for them!

That is clever coding... how long do you consider "taking too long to solve" time?

So we've got a hidden code in one of the previous epic weeks. Smoke and mirrors could be literal, or it could just be the idiom for trickery.
