This topic is for discussing clues and potential answers to the infinite symbol in Epic Week 2019. Please stay on topic. Remember, these riddles are designed to be challenging and require a group of people noodling together; don't feel intimidated if you don't know the answer right away. Every little idea can help. Research is not cheating; it is expected!
Is the answer to the first clue knowledge?
Sounds like it. Or maybe it could be something that is part of the technological advancements.

While knowledge seems like an answer, not all knowledge is that hard to obtain? Some knowledge is useful, so many Kim is looking for something more specific?

Or, as said, it could be something that is needed to actually advance within the technological world; like a metal buried deeper than any other, therefore making it more dangerous.

Good ideas all! Does anyone recognize the symbol? It is probably from a sci-fi franchise, but I don't know what it is. The name of the symbol can also be a hint.
nightmqre

It sort of reminds me of a longer, thinner chaos emerald from Sonic but I know that isn't it. I'll have a look around though!
Irrelevant, but just the whole "damage to the invading army..." Haven't we been the invaders the past couple years? Especially this one?

Don't mind me, I'm just procrastinating actually getting up and being helpful... Almost...
The symbol is from the game No Man's Sky. It appears on the box art.
nightmqre

Ah, no man's sky... What could you obtain from that? Alien materials?

GREAT! Thank you my dude! I've never played No Man's Sky myself, but it sounds like the answer may be the name of one of the materials you can find, like Static said! I'm pretty sure No Man's Sky is very exploration based and so I think there are a lot of different materials ... so we are gonna need to unlock those other clues for sure.

Yeah, No Man's Sky is essentially a vision of what an extended universe would look like to the game developers. Fun fact, actually. We did the calculations and it would take over 18 billion years for one person to complete the whole game of No Man's Sky. Unless it's been downgraded since then, of course.
Took a guess at Unobtainium, which fits the description very well but its not it. I'm assuming only the symbol has to do with NMS, since its only science fiction in aesthetics.

I went through all of the rare materials listed on a page in No Man's Sky. It is none of the rare metals.

The ones I tried

Deuterium
Magnetised Ferrite
Chlorine
Pugneum
Platinum
Activated Copper
Activated Cadmium
Activated Emeril
Activated Indium
The more dangerous to obtain materials, I'd say would be on the more extreme world-types like maybe Irradiated or Dead worlds.

Taking a look now

Atlas and Coryzagen do not work.
Imthenaysayer

The no man sky logo
But I don’t know about this symbol
And this is when I wish that I was a bit more fluent in... well, everything of this sort.
Enall Tislith (played by Pantrane)

I went through a few Trek terms. Dilithium. Antimatter. Matter-Antimatter.

I tried hydrogen as well since it's related to the Bussard Collectors (the big light on the front of a starship's engines).

I'm trying my hardest to open the third clue (as I cannot do the second). <3
