Last year, the addition of dice to the RP Repository forums was met with great excitement by gamers everywhere. The addition of random chance and "mechanics" added rich possibilities to how you could go about RPing on the site.Unfortunately, the normal range of dice, from d2 to d100, simply wasn't enough to account for all scenarios. What were you supposed to do in situations where the outcome was pre-determined?
That's why today, we're proud to introduce the one sided die to the site's collection of rolling options.
Happy gaming!

Having never played any physical roleplaying games, and having only a limited understanding of the whole dice thing in general... I have to ask... how does a one sided dice work? In fact I have a hard time picturing what are, in my head, non-started numbers of sides on a dice, like three or eight sided dice... how do you roll those anyway!?
I've never been so excited!
I can roll with confidence, now! Thank you, Kim!
So basically we're getting a Magic 8-Ball? Hell yeah, that sounds awesome.
"Should I waste these goblin fools?"
'Yes'
'No'
'Maybe'
'Ask again later'
'They're weak against fire and you specced into ice magic, so that wouldn't be particularly wise. But we both know you're 5 EXP from your next level and getting pretty antsy, so smoke 'em.'

...so...so...so beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes to see such a perfect dice join us in our community. If only I had one of those for during my p&p sessions. WAIT, I DO NOW!

Finally! We have a die that gets exact results! I have been waiting SO LONG for this die to become reality and finally it's here! It's like meeting a celebrity!
My roleplays will be that much more improved thanks to this die. I am grateful, Kim!

This addition was exactly what I had been waiting for! The 1-sided die is a must-have in the collection of every gamer and it always saddened me that this amazing site yet does not have it.
Roll on my brothers!
Roll on my brothers!
This is amazing! I've been frustrated with the dice options every now and then, this will cater to my needs just fine. Thanks Kim!

The one-sided die was meant as an April Fool's Day joke, but it actually exists! Its first prototype was manufactured in 2006 and no matter how you roll it, there's only one position it can end up in. Here's a video showing what rolling the one-sided die looks like
