After a month of attempting different combinations, dying a little inside every time a genre mascot entry needed to be cut, and trying to sneak all of them back in more than once, it's time to unveil 2016's genre jumble champions! I want to congratulate all of our entrants, even those who aren't featured in the final jumble. Many extremely worthy entrants were eliminated in the process of creating a final composition, through no flaw of their own. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves; I certainly I am!
Every year, our genre jumble becomes more complex, jaw-dropping and just plain bigger -- this year, the stunning variety of characters overflowed their historic confines, and became a full-width horizontal image instead of a more constrained square. Combined with the range of styles and genres featured, it's an apt metaphor for our supercalifragilisticexpialidocious community.

Purple is a fabulous colour, though!
The jumble looks amazing! Such diverse concepts represented, here. And all of the entries were really well-done, even if they didn't make it in. I was watching the entry thread in the final hours as things kept coming in, and was just so in awe of the artists all pitching in their creations!
