The "Find RP and Looking For RP: Together At Last" update has been installed successfully! As with any update, it'sWith this update, "Finder concepts" are no longer a separate thing from posts made to the Looking For RP forums. The forums will be a one stop place to look at all of the potential games you could play in. The Looking For RP forums have inherited all the super cool features that used to be RP Finder only. You can now tag your topics with specific genre combinations, play styles, writing styles, and all the rest that you have gotten used to from the Finder.
If you've posted a Finder concept in the past (and the character you did it with still exists), you'll be receiving a PM today with the text of your concept(s) in case you'd care to save them or re-post them.
For more information on the specifics of this update, check out this post.
But wait, that's not all!
Other stuff in this patch
- Updated the private message inbox -- unread conversations will now always be pinned to the top, even if they are not the conversation with the most recent activity.
- You can now remove yourself from a private message conversation you don't want to participate in anymore. Just click the red X next to your identit(y/ies) in the "people in this conversation" list.
- On mobile/tablet display, moved "people participating in this conversation" to above private message reply box, so you can see at a glance who you are about to address even if your device doesn't have room for a sidebar.
- Disabled BBCode for images, videos, columns and collapse tags in kudos, since these things basically self-destruct in kudos on profiles and small screens.
- Added some prompts when creating a new topic on the Introductions forum, to help new players think of things to say about themselves.
- Added some prompts when creating a new topic on either Looking For RP forum, reminding people about the minimum information requirements for posting there.
- Fixed an issue wherein some mobile devices couldn't scroll through all the types of widgets when editing a character or group.
Other updates that happened this month
- Fixed youtube and vimeo embeds - they will no longer overflow the content areas that they are placed in. New default size is full width, unless you specify differently via BBCode. However, the tradeoff is that they are now a block level element, meaning you can't put several videos on the same line.
- Created some text fallbacks for the mobile menu/search/login icons, in case someone is on a slow-loading network where it takes awhile for them to appear.
- Changed how journal entries are edited -- the editing window should resize more appropriately to mobile screens.
- Previewing journal entry edits will no longer hide the "save changes" button.
- If the time picker is opened while editing a journal entry, and then the edit window is closed with the time picker still open, the time picker will now correctly close itself instead of remaining on top of all your widgets until you leave the character editing page.
- Increased the target area for the "delete journal entry" X, to make clicking/tapping it less frustrating.
- Fixed a bug wherein saving an edit to an existing journal entry sometimes resulted in the "real" date being shown on the post, even when the journal was set to pretend to be in the future or past.
- Fixed an issue where you couldn't type in your own time for a journal entry.
- Tweaked hourly/daily/weekly email send so that hopefully it will work better for people that prefer those intervals.
- Fixed an issue wherein the character setup wizard could sometimes double post, resulting in duplicate pages on a character profile.

THE THING HAS HAPPENED!
I was on the edge of my seat for nearly a WEEK waiting for today's update to happen, AND NOW IT HAS~! I'm already getting some bites for my thread thanks to the combined system, eeee~! Thank you so much for doing all of this grueling but awesome work for us, Kim!

@Durgan - If you put a check in the box "I want to see the adults only Looking For RP forum." in your settings, both forums will be returned in Find RP search results for you. People who haven't checked that box will only see results from the all ages LFRP forum.
This thing is awesome! but I'm not sure if it has combined the LFRP section and the +18 LFRP.
Thanks guys! SO looking forward to seeing what you'll do with it.
@SummerNights - They may end up talking to themselves for a little while before they notice. I think it's at its most useful not for conversations that have gone dead (since when no one says anything, you don't get any more notices about the convo) but for conversations that are very busy but don't have much to do with you anymore. Finally a way to shush the notices!

Kim, you don't know how long I've been waiting for this update! As soon as the new post went up, I got excited. I've looked at the Find RP section not too long ago (and I would be lying if I didn't borderline fanboy from how awesome it looks!)
I think that the thing that I am looking forward to in the next few weeks is seeing LFRP posts showing up in the Find RP section. (It just looks so cool how they're all there!) And I am very thankful for the freedom to be able to type WAY MORE text characters in a concept. Before I would go over all the time, and it limited what I could say (but now? Not too much ^u^)
Anyways, that's just my two cents on the thing that I was looking forward to the most. The other thing of course is removing myself from conversations! Sometimes the conversation goes dead, so that's a nice way to end it and let the person know at the same time (because they would notice that you aren't in the list anymore!) I really looking forward to the next update, and the feedback from everyone about this newspost
We you, Kim ^3^

The old concepts have been retired along with the old system. If you've posted a Finder concept in the past (and the character you did it with still exists), you should have just received a PM with the text of your concept(s) in case you'd care to save them or re-post them.
Awesome! Looks like a lot of fantastic work happened
Question: If we had RP concepts still open in the RP Finder, do we need to repost them to keep them still open or active?
