What you get out of the wardrobe is (usually) enchanted cloaks. Using an enchanted cloak will cause the cloak to disappear, but permanently raise the number of characters your account can hold by 1. That limit is raised forever -- even if you fill it, delete that character and then fill it again.
If i click 'use' and i get a character slot do i have to fill it now or can i just use it thd four times and get my objects for later use?
