Friday RP Prompt - RP Repository

Tomorrow marks the start of the Festival of Being Excellent to Each Other!

But before we dive in to thinking about all the ways to make friendships go right -- here's a RP prompt about a friendship gone very wrong.

RP prompts may be complete plot ideas, a single situation, a character, a feeling, a challenge, or even a photo to use as inspiration. Start a new RP to play them out, or use them to add a twist to an existing RP. Modify them, take inspiration from them, or use them as is!

You discover that a long-time friend was originally sent to spy on you. Though they claim to have stopped sending reports months ago, how can you trust them again?

I thought about ASOIAF, too. But first I thought about my own RP, where a very similar situation happened even before ASOIAF: first advisor had been originally sent to spy on the empress, but fell in love with her and switched sides; only, she didn't throw him out, but thought it would be wiser to keep him.
