RP prompts may be complete plot ideas, a single situation, a character, a feeling, a challenge, or even a photo to use as inspiration. Start a new RP to play them out, or use them to add a twist to an existing RP. Modify them, take inspiration from them, or use them as is!
You were sure there wasn't a corner down the road you were walking, but you turned it anyways - and came face to face, suddenly, with a group of people all standing before a woman at a crossroads, her hair greying face wrinkled, back hunched. She looks at you, appraisingly, and nods. "Well, well. Forgive me for interrupting your journeys, travelers, but this land has a task for you."
Oh. A heroic quest, eh? You've heard of this sort of thing before. The old woman's secretly a sorceress or a goddess, the journey will be dire, and the rewards'll be either exceedingly mundane-but-helpful, or magical-but-with-drawbacks. But the tales all say the same thing: it's dangerous to refuse the old woman at the crossroads.
The old woman seems to stare right through you for a moment, and smiles, before shuffling aside to reveal a host of... hoes, rakes, and scythes? There's a veritable pile of gardening and farming equipment there! "You've all got green thumbs, whether you know it or not," she says, with a hint of a cackle. "It's time you learn how to nurture."
