With so much new code being written, and so many interlocking systems being changed, the risk that bugs will strike is at an all time high. But if you find a bug, you may also have just found treasure.
For the next two weeks, every bug report that leads to something being fixed will be rewarded with a special event-only trophy to display proudly on your user profile.
These treasures won't be available again. After this two week bounty hunting event, we'll be back to the regular old accolades.
So go forth, and test everything there is to be tested. Report everything that seems a little bit wrong. And then roll in your treasure.
With everyone's vigilance, we'll have all the problems ironed out in no time. Thank you, mighty heroes of the RP Repository!
Here's what we've already found and are working on:
Notifications about guestbook comments and replies are displaying to the wrong people.- Tool tip hints for widgets display in the wrong place when the page has been scrolled.
The chat window isn't appropriately blanking of text for a few people. The people that were reporting this say it isn't happening anymore. Not sure what changed. Keep me posted, guys.Images that have been aligned to the left or right with BBcode sometimes fall out of widgets while editing is going on.- A minority of people appear to be having timeout issues when uploading images.

@Jemindra: I messaged you with some explanations and some questions.
Aha, Ethelle found a bug while replying to the bug finding news post! I've fixed the anonymous comment and will shortly fix being able to post comments after logging yourself out in another window.
Also also: If the fancy fonts you are referring to is the calligraphic title fonts, Firefox should be more than capable of displaying them. I'm looking at 'em in Firefox right now! If it works in one browser but not the other on the same computer, one of the browsers likely has its settings configured a bit oddly or be out of date.

... except that I wasn't logged in, apparently. That anonymous message was from me. Still, the font is very fancy and nice.
Whooo! Logged in with Google Chrome instead of Firefox today, and suddenly the fonts are all fancy. *will stick with Chrome now*
No update on the Activity list anymore when you update your journal entries for your char? :<
Kim -- You're most welcome . Sorry about the message / note spam!
Thank you Experience! I found the note I had about it immediately when you said that.
"One other person reported that too, but I can't seem to figure out where they reported it so I'm not sure who at this moment." -- Mee, sorry Kim!
It certainly does! Fixed now. One other person reported that too, but I can't seem to figure out where they reported it so I'm not sure who at this moment.
Using the bug report system is much easier on me than posting somewhere else or messaging me, gang.

Not quite sure if this counts as a bug, or whether or not it's been reported already.
Odd alignment of icons under 'request pending' section on the personal Friends page.

OH, also also, accolades for bugs reported via PM or on the forums are also delayed, since I have to go back and comb through them by hand to figure out who said what after fixes get made.
About a dozen people reported the guestbook notification issue before I put up this post saying it was known, and all of them will get accolades for it (including you!)
I have a bug tracking system that holds reports and who was involved in finding it -- When I close the ticket, it automatically assigns random accolades (for the next two weeks, randomly picked from the special pool of course) to all the reporters and prompts me to write the blurbs. So accolades normally happen when the issue is fixed, not when the report is made. Since I'm still working on fixing it, the issue is still open, and no accolades have gone out yet.

I like it! It's a neat way to show when people were around too. Also, not to sound whiny, but did someone find the guestbook glitch before I did or were you just too inundated with other accolades for people that you forgot to mention that one? I was just wondering, I really don't mind. It's... like... a few pixels in diamond shape.
I did put it back in. Once I took it out, I suddenly developed a strong opinion on the matter.
@Kim Ah, yes. That makes sense. Thank you for the reply.
Art mine eyes deceiving me or have you put the dashboard link back in anyway, btw? I suddenly spotted it again when checking someone's character.

Aside from my avatar-loading issue, things have worked fine for me!
I would like to report a bug I found. He was a creepy and big one. Had 8 legs and was looking at me like I was a piece of meat yesterday while I was mowing the lawn. Any ideas on this guy? Oh wait...wrong type of bug. Heh. I ain't encountered any yet. Guess everyones been beating me to em.
@Ethelle: Good question. The reasoning was just that I've been asked to change it a loooot. People kept saying that when they were browsing characters, they wanted to be able to go back to the community page quickly in order to look for more characters, and for those on slow connections the extra clicking around to get from the dashboard to the community section was an added burden. Since I don't have strong opinions one way or another, I made the change. If it turns out to be too inconvenient for a whole other group of people, we'll see about changing it back or adding both. I'd rather not add both just to keep toolbar space to a minimum, but we must do what we must do.
When viewing a character's page, there's no button to return to dashboard. Instead there's a button to the community page. I used the dashboard button a lot. I'm not saying I want it back, because I'm utterly fine with things as they are now, but I was wondering what the reasoning behind the change was?
