Hey friends! After much deliberation and struggle, we've managed to narrow down the many wonderful choices in this year's moderator applications to 2 people.Today, we are thrilled to welcome Claine and Mina to the RPR moderation team! They will be beginning their six weeks of mod training on a staggered schedule, so each one gets the attention they deserve as they find their sea legs. I hope you will join me in welcoming and supporting them! 
Thank you to everyone who submitted an application to our call for moderators. There's always a lot of outstanding responses, but this time, the average quality of responses was even higher than it usually is.The application process was rigorous, and we asked you to make calls about difficult, open-ended situations with no clear "right" answer. If you applied, I hope you are giving yourself the credit you deserve for grappling with those issues, for balancing multiple concerns and versions of "fair," and for interrogating your own biases.
We read and discussed each application, including and especially your policy suggestions for those who submitted them.
Some of your suggestions have once again led to updates in our internal guidelines, and it's likely there will be some more obvious changes in the near future as we continue to digest things.
