Almost since the inception of the site, we've given various badges and awards to highlight great community members and demonstrate our sincere appreciation for your contributions. After all, the two minutes you spend filling out a bug report could prevent hundreds of others from having the same problem!Over the years, our accolades have taken the form of trophies, prize ribbons, gems, stars, and much more -- but from now on, they will all be replaced by something far superior: The majestic walrus.
As everyone knows, the walrus is the epitome of dignity, grace and social elegance, making it the perfect symbol of excellence. We should all strive to live up to the walrus' example of gregarious assertiveness, willingness to scratch each other's backs, body positive outlook, defense of the young and weak in their group, and of course, iceberg captaining.

I for one am honoured to have my amazing walrus mustache acknowledged. I have worked many years to growing it, even beyond the expectations of peers.
"You'll never pull it off!" They said! "Walrus mustaches make you look at least 50 years older!" They shouted at me as I brushed the lucious mane above my upper lip. But I never gave up, for I knew, one day, I'd pull it off and become a walrus god.

I like how some of them just say my name. This is me, I am the walrus. I have so many accolades that the site gave up and made me the walrus. Perfect.
