There were three main categories for questions this month, so I've organized them by Lemonade Stand/Backer Reward related questions, pet questions, and event questions.
Lemonade Stand Questions
Kim when are you going to make those request threads for stickers/digital requests?

It'll be publicized a lot from here for people who missed it in the news this morning, never fear.
I don't have a form for the digital requests QUITE yet, still making some decisions about how I want to organize that.
Can you tell us what item has been the best earner so far?

Which hippocampus has been the most popular?
Actually at this moment, Rainbow, Twilight and Emerald are all tied for first place in the hippocampus races. But I also think a number of people have been waiting for the final hippocampus to be released/next payday, so I don't think that's settled yet. Frankly I'm surprised, Lionfish Grulla was the design that absolutely stole my heart.
how did the sale of cinnamon sticks in the Bake Sale compare to the spoons sold in the Lemonade Stand so far? (not counting cinnamon sticks this time!)
Great question! Lemme see if I can wwork that out...
It looks like the bake sale sold 306 cinnamon sticks at a price of $1.50 each, not counting any of the ones that have come back as LS flash sales. That means that spoons (also $1.50 each) win at 385 sold!
Will a new official style still be released when we hit the second goal, or has that window of opportunity passed with the last hippocampus release?
I had challenged folks to hit it before the last hippocampus was released, so I think we missed that - but I'll have a new challenge soon that might be easier to hit
Any idea how you want to priortize the digital backer requests? Will it be based on amount spent, or something else?
Sort of loosely on amount spent, but I suspect there will be a fair amount of jumping around based on inspiration - if someone has just asked for a pair of shoes and I'm on a shoe roll, I might try to just chew through those regardless of where they are in the press.
WIll they have to be bipedal and humanish?
So for the digital backer rewards what I've offered so far is to make an outfit piece for some of the starter avatars, all of which thus far will be bipedal. (Someone else put in "You can ask for stuff like animal ears though.") Yes, tails and ears and snouts are up for grabs

I was curious whether or not the site avatars might get some anthro additions?
Undoubtedly. For sure. I think right out of the gate we're going to have a lot of people requesting tails and ears and snouts that can go on the humanoid avatar shapes to change them up right away. Someone yesterday was saying they were going to make their accessory request be one-up one-down ears with recolors to work for a few different types of animals. I've heard from people wanting tails. I've actually already got bat and bird wings ready to go, and I'm poking at some butterfly/fairy type wings.
And dragons?

I do think antro dragons might want an actually different, perhaps larger than standard base, in some cases.
Will there be size options for them?
So... on the ones I plan to launch with, there'll be some bodies that are taller or shorter or wider than others, and there should be a fair amount of space in the frames to allow for future official bases, or just purely custom bases, that are much larger than standard.
CUSTOM Are we going to be able to put CUSTOMS IN?
Yes, deffo. It's absolutely required. I want you to be able to upload your own custom designed avatar from the floor up. But I'm also planning a sort of avatar market where artists can offer or sell accessories, so you don't necessarily have to wait for me to create official costume pieces.
Will we be able to have more than one avatar?
Yes - at least 1 avatar per character profile, but I think actually it would be amazing if we could have multiple avatars per character. Like, imagine you have a human version and a werewolf version of one character, or a casual vs. formal version of another.

What is your favorite looking drink from the Lemonade Stand?
I am absolutely charmed by the face on the Blue Boba. It just looks so pleased to be there. I think the Pink Lemonade looks the most beautiful to me, though.
When our stickers are sent out, is there any chance we'll get a tracking number with the highest tiers? I know those cost extra to ship out... but I live in an apartment building and am so worried it will show up when I'm not aware and be stolen
Do you not have locked mailboxes? If so, the stickers will be small enough to fit in them. They're 3 inches, and I can ship them in a regular envelope size (but made out of cardstock to keep them from being bent.) I usually send tracking #s on larger packages like totebags, but I was avoiding giant shipped items this time as much as I could. Though I dunno, maybe I'll have to backtrack on that if we hit the $15k goal. I'm not sure what sorts of new backer rewards people would want the most!
Did you have any ideas for other backer rewards? Maybe things like character slots or epic?
Since some of the items in the sale will give you those things directly, that's probably not the direction I'll go. The stuff I was thinking about were things like hippocampus or phoenix mugs, which would be SO fun to drink from though awful to ship
Maybe also posters with the hippocampus artwork? I would hang that in a heartbeat. Mouse pads were another thought I had. But I think I'd want some feedback on what people would actually be interested in receiving.I could do mugs domestically but I'm not sure they'd be feasible overseas. 🤔 It'd cost like $50 to send one to Australia, easily
(There was a bit of discussion here about what people would like to see - mugs and posters were very popular, and then a request for t-shirts with the hippocampuses and phoenixes was made. Especially the twilight and rainbow hippocampi were focused on, so)

Ilmarinen absolutely CRUSHED IT on these designs. They just get better when you look at them close up! They were painted SO high resolution they would print up absolutely g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.
Would we get to choose which ones were on our shirt?
*maybe*. I'd need to do some price shopping at local print shops to see whether we could do multiple designs and still get a bulk print run price. If not, I suspect there would be a lot of agreement on rainbow + twilight though, they both seemed really popular!
(There was then a pretty excited discussion about the possibility of buttons, enamel pins, or magnets. There was also the idea floated of a new digital backer reward that took the form of a golden spoon for people who wanted to commemorate all the time they spent stirring cappuccinos with silver spoons.)
Guinea Pigs & Dog Questions
Gratuitous request for State of the Herd update.
So... context for this, the two Elder Gays, Dove and Cadbury, raised the younger herd member, Crunchie, since he was extremely young. Cadbury loveeeessssssss his kiddos (he's fostered a few others) and spends a big chunk of his day trying to kiss and cuddle Crunchie, when he is not cuddling his husband Dove. Crunchie has spent years insisting that he is an adult and can groom his own self and getting into big blow ups about how Cadbury can't treat him like a kid anymore.
After literally years of fussing and insisting that he is in fact an adult and needs to be treated as such by Cadbury, Crunchie has begun to change his mind. Recently, he's decided that not only does he not mind Cadbury babying him, he now actually values this behavior and especially adores Cadbury for it. He now spends large portions of his day trailing Cadbury and standing lookout for him the same way that Dove does. Crunchie even sometimes deigns to cuddle Cadbury back!
Cadbury is technically still the lowest status pig in the cage, rank wise, but you absolutely would not know it the way the two more dominant boys are constantly watching out for him. They love him so much that they both often give him first choice of food and water and toys, shouting and hissing at one another to let beloved Cadbury go first and then prickling that anyone could think that they wouldn't.
Cadbury is a bit of a saint among boars, his constant praise and kisses and cuddling and emotional labor has him high in the esteem of his peers.
How did you and the piggies handle the heat wave?
I don't know if the pigs rightly noticed, to be honest. They enjoyed their nice climate controlled room for most of it.
Cadbury insisted on my carrying him around enough that I occasionally had to go outside with him to watch the dog potty, so he experienced it for a few minutes at a time, but apparently it wasn't bad enough that he wanted me to put him down again. He's a cuddle pig.
It was 108 on.. I think Tuesday? here. It was.. nothing I'd recommend.
What breed is your dog?
Versailles is a standard poodle, and actually the great grand-niece of my previous service dog Venice (who passed this February, about a week before Versailles was born).

Quick question on the collaborative character thing. . . Do you get out in to the drawing for offering ideas to others, or is that for those who post a thread for a collaborative character?
It's only for offering ideas to others.
