After roughly nine years of devoted service to the RPR community, SeraphicStar is leaving our mod team today.He wanted me to tell you: "It's been almost a decade since I was picked to be a moderator for the RPR. It's been my pleasure and privilege to interact with this community as both a member and a moderator. I've met a lot of wonderful people I'm pleased to call my friends, and I like to think I've grown and developed as a person throughout these years.
But time passes, we're all getting old, and the responsibilities and challenges in my life aren't compatible with moderating the RPR anymore. It's been a good run, but our paths diverge here. It's sad, but it's for the best - for both the RPR and for myself.
I want to thank Kim for being our bright, headstrong, absolute gem of an Admin. You've been a joy to work for and with. Your love for your work and your empathy are inspiring.
I also want to thank the other mods - Darth, Copper, Ben, Loki, Heimdall, and Cass. You're all heroes, there's no other way to put it. You pour hours of your life into this so often thankless job, and your enthusiasm and love for it shine through every time. It's going to be weird to not call you colleagues anymore, but I'm glad I can still continue to call you friends.
And finally, of course, I want to thank the community for making my mod years an incredible learning experience. We've come far in the last nine years. Let's go further."
Please join me in extending sincere thanks to SeraphicStar for the incredible gifts of time, energy, kindness, and high-octane drama-untangling that he gave to us. He was one of the first people to join the RPR's mod team, and he's been with us through some incredible changes, highs and lows in both our lifetime as a site, and his own. He's definitely earned his retirement!
I'm certain that some of you reading this are already wondering who will replace SeraphicStar. The answer is of course: no one, because each mod is unique and cannot be replaced.
However, as our site expands, the mod team has been preparing to expand as well, and in light of this we're moving up the date. We'll be looking for some fresh faces to volunteer with us, and applications to join the mod team will reopen this Friday.

Seraph, it has been an utter joy and a privilege to moderate alongside you the last 6 years! You're an awesome friend, and I hope your future IRL endeavors lead on to a great & fulfilling life! 
Wishing you well in all you do SeraphicStar! Thank you for helping keep, as I see it, my dreams alive. This site is invaluable to me, and thus so are you, whether you realize it or even know who I am or not. Thanks for your commitment to the site and stay well in your future endeavors.
It'll be a shame to lose 'em, but hopefully you do well in the future, Seraph! You'll be missed.
