Technobabble: I updated the underlying code that facillitates on-page interactivity.Internet speak translation: I R MADE THINGS GUDDER.
Although you will probably not notice many differences right away, this was a big step toward making exciting new features possible.
But because SO much was changed during this upgrade, it's almost impossible that I managed to test everything that was affected on my own. I'm sure I forgot something. So I'm calling on you, heroic defenders of the RP Repository. Please help!
If you find something that's not working, please report it right away. There may be rewards in it for you!
Not sure how to write a good bug report? Nervous you might be reporting something that's not really a bug? Check out this sweet tutorial.
Did I say you won't notice any differences right away? I totally lied. Here's a few things that will be immediately better in this patch:
- When editing a character, hovering over a widget to add to your profile will cause a description of that widget to display. This used to break if you scrolled the page at all. It should now be reliable regardless.
- No more flickering tooltips when mousing over events on a group calendar very quickly.
- Journal widget uses a new time picker. No more broken handles on the slider that were so hard to figure out!
- A number of error pages have been beautified, and/or made more useful.
- Extra short kudos will double check with you to make sure you remembered to explain why your friend is awesome. Some upcoming features incorporate kudos when trying to pair players with potential RP partners, so we're making a concerted effort to make kudos helpful.
