It's almost here! I'm talking about the massive redesign project meant to...- Update and integrate features that have been developed separately over the last year and a half,
- Eliminate many old display errors,
- and make the site as a whole easier and more pleasant to use.
In about a week, the Repository will enter a short development freeze. During that phase, no new features or bug fixes will be released.
The redesign needs to integrate seamlessly with our current site, and it'll be much easier to pull off if I'm not trying to hit a moving target.
After about 7 days in development freeze, the redesign will be unleashed. A whole lot of things will happen very rapidly. The site will lock while installation is occurring - don't worry, you'll get plenty of warning. Hundreds of new scripts will be rapidly installed. The database will be converted into a new form that better reflects real site use and streamlines processes for speed.
I am massively excited about this project. I have wanted a chance to address old systems and old design for months and months now -- It just wasn't possible to convert one thing without converting everything. Thank you all for your patience with the sparse updates while I secluded myself in the Code Cave and buckled down on... well, everything!
The long drought is almost over. Updates are on the way.

The timeline is definitely vague. I am forever a wishful thinker and I am dying to have it all out as fast as possible, but I like to give myself a bit of wiggle room in case I discover a last minute problem that needs tackling.
