Meet the RP Repository's new genre mascots for 2013.
There were about 25 entries into the genre jumble contest this year, and after hours of trying different combinations, positions, orientations and directions for all of them, these 11 mascots jostled their way to the front and all together said "Cheese!"
Inaugurating a new class of mascots is one of my favorite times of the year. I know you're tired of hearing me say it, but the combination of different genres and artistic styles perfectly encapsulates the huge diversity of people and RP found in our community. Personally, I think that's an absolutely beautiful, exciting, stupendous thing. And these mascots fit that ticket exactly!
A huge round of applause goes out to Wizard, Heimdall, Petrichor, Nuttermonk, Highjinx, Ethelle, Degu, LittleBattyLady, Rikelle and Limeface for providing the art this year.
But wait! Highjinx assembled a wallpaper that includes a mascot from every contestant -- unfettered by the space requirements of the homepage, practically every mascot has been able to crowd into this picture! Download yours in regular or widescreen today, and send Highjinx a thank you note!
Plus, one more mascot wandered into our stables this year -- Wizard's fantastic Doubutt! Although Doubutt simply couldn't find room on the front page, Wizard has agreed to allow us to adopt him/her for use on certain error message pages. Welcome to the site, little buddy!
This marks the end of all of our third anniversary contests, and the beginning of a lot of work for me as I sit down to write my letters to the winners.
I want to thank everyone who participated in the contests and the celebrations this year, from the bottom of my heart. It was a very exciting anniversary.
Summer art exchange!

And now I'm sitting here half-crying because I didn't expect to get in. X'D I'M GLAD TO BE A PART OF THIS WITH YA'LL. Everyone did such a good job and that wallpaper is fantastic and Doubutt is staying around and those templates HNNNGH EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURTS.

Oh, wow. This is amazing. I love every part of it! I almost hope there are a lot of errors (just kidding!) as Doubutt is vastly entertaining. And those new templates are gorgeous!

Doubutt is now living on broken link error pages, and... grazing...? peacefully...? Henceforth, whenever the site cannot find something, a wild Doubutt shall appear!
