It's here! It's here! About 40 genre mascots were entered into the contest, and a final 17 have assembled themselves into 2020's final mascot image:

I'm pretty sure the moth started the club, and everyone else joined because they didn't want to let the moth down, but once they joined discovered it was actually a pretty good time.
