Meet your 2018 Genre Mascots

It's here! It's here! 2018's Genre Mascots have been selected, and the new Genre Jumble takes its rightful place on our front page!

Choosing the winners and creating a final composition where their tremendous diversity of genre and execution co-exist and compliment each other is always an exquisite challenge, and I want to thank every single artist that submitted an entry. Your ideas and your work are beautiful representations of the larger diversity of the RPR's community at large. Thank you for helping us represent what we are all about.

And thank you to everyone for your patience as I hyperventilated over this composition for a month. It never gets any easier!! You are all so breathtakingly talented.

Aaa I'm so happy I was selected!

The interactions between the tiefling, dragon and little slug are is so cute! I also really like the two school girls being placed together. They're best friends, even though they solve their problems differently

Everyone did so well! You can see the progress in peoples' styles looking back as well, at least for recurring winners. It's so neat to see aaaa

I love the character interactions! This one looks like it was a doozy to put together but as usual you did it

Huzzah! t may not be easy every year to piece this together, but you always do a fantastic job Kim. I especially like the little interaction scene in the lower right corner there! That's super cute, I also like to imagine that the book is the same we've seen characters holding before.

Indeed, the little interactions are really charming.

My favourite part are all the cool tones, though. Especially how a lot of stuff sticks close to sea foam, etc.
