What a week it's been! I hope your relationships are stronger than ever, and that your RP groups - and your life - will continue to see the benefits of all this gratitude and friendship tune-ups for months and years to come.The spirit of The Festival of Being Excellent to Each Other doesn't need to end here. The lessons that it brings to us can be applied all year round, on every site you visit, and in your real life. In fact, if you've been feeling the warm glow of giving and receiving kudos this week, consider jotting an email to friends and family who are not on the site to let them know what you appreciate about them. Love, gratitude and appreciation are incredible gifts.

I got this note a few days ago, and it captures what FOBETEO is all about perfectly:
"In the past couple of years, I've had some really bad moments where I felt that life was not okay and nobody cared about me. For my own part, I reconnected with two people that had drifted out of my life over the years. I had considered not giving them kudos because it had been so long, but I decided what the heck, they still mean a lot to me - I was so surprised and delighted when they wrote back to me and we resumed chatting again like only a few days had gone by! If you had an experience like this, I'd love to hear about it.

This was an amazing event! Through it, I found an awesome RP on this site; I'm really enjoying myself and coming out of my shell a bit more. I hope next year's FOBETEO is just as sweet and tender as this one!
I really had a great week of FOBETEO, making and reading kudos! As a matter of fact, I do have someone in mind too who gave one back to me when I wrote to them. We haven't chatted yet, but knowing that I still count in their lives brings warmth in my heart.
