Dear denizens of the RP Repository,Thank you to everyone who submitted an application to our call for moderators. We received over 50 applications, and we read and discussed each and every one. There were a lot of outstanding responses, and as usual, you all made the selection process very difficult with your excellence.
It's my favorite problem to have!At this time, we are thrilled to welcome Cass and Heimdall to our moderation team. These two stood out to us as showing exceptional good judgement and a balancing of kindness and firm boundaries. We think their presence on the mod team will benefit the entire community, and we hope you'll agree!
It's very possible we will welcome a few more of you to the team in the coming months! We don't want to expand too rapidly or have so many people to train we can't give them the attention they need.
The application process was rigorous, and we asked you to make calls about difficult, open-ended situations with no clear "right" answer. If you applied, I hope you are giving yourself the credit you deserve for grappling with those issues, for balancing multiple concerns and versions of "fair," and for interrogating your own biases. Know that WE are giving you that credit. We see you!
One of the things we asked for in those applications was suggestions for how to improve the site's community or our performance as moderators, and we also want to thank everyone who included suggestions in their applications. Know that we read, discussed, and took seriously every single one, and some have led to updates in our internal guidelines.

Welcome, you two! I'm personally quite excited to work alongside you guys. And many thanks to everyone who applied - there were some excellent applications, and it was an incredibly difficult decision for all of us.
