Uma's father, Takun'hun, a single father (wife had perished in an incident involving a Snoug) had been one of the riders which were slain by those loyal to Korgmak.
In the subsequent months, she was taken in by one of the 'castle's cook who claimed her as her daughter. During this time Uma assisted the prince and his allies by leaving the gateway to a secret passage unlocked.

- First of all, markings need to be a darker shade of the skin colour unless they're glowing, at which point they match the eye colour, unless you meant the tint of the skin.
- As for her back story, unfortunately Korgmak has been keeping people outside of his own soldiers away from the eggs so that they wouldn't hatch to anyone else, letting Uma work around them would be a huge risk given how many there are.
Her parents were killed by odd means but that's fine, you just need to figure out a different life for her before this. Castle servant maybe, if her father had been a rider and was killed during the attack rather than by sheer chance with a falling dragon.

- Markings, as a rule listed, are a darker shade of the trolls skin. They light up the same colour as the eyes at times of magic use or heightened emotion.
