What is The Riftling?
A question so many have asked or lest dare to wonder....
To tell the truth it can really only be started one way. By a fairy tale of sorts as the mundane will call it. You see in the mundane world you have god's to men the same theory applies to the realms of worlds. The mundane is the men in this story if you have not gathered that yet dear friends.
Right okay where were we....Ah yes.
Riftling is a realm echoing a mirrored magical realm like the Mundane have. However Riftling is the in-between the forgotten realm and it's magical counter part. The mirrored universe of one so many know and live in. Yet so few could travel to without the aid of Eden blood or Eden ore.
Riftling is the realm that holds the small world of Eden a world forgotten out of most mundane fairy tales and maybe even lore?
Riftling however is like all realms though, it holds it's own stunning wonders and chaotic disappointments.
Firstly one cannot even enter through any portal and find Riftling. In fact it is a realm solely to have been created for it's original Eden bloodline. Meaning only those born or bloodlines from Eden can even see the portal symbols for Eden let alone use them.
The Riftling is a world that had once looked nothing more than a black void. Vast as it was dark with only the shimmer of what would one day become Eden. Those that travel through The Riftling that are not of Eden born typically will only see colors of blacks, purples and vibrancy pulsing's that come in very short spurts. However those of fae bloodline, heavy magical bloodline or Eden born themselves. Well they see what looks to be prisms of blues and purples. Etched with the staking electricity of silver moon beam colorings. The vibrancy of the very pressure around you makes your skin tingle. A sensation that is both enjoyable and yet annoying to many that travel through it. It is said it is not something easily made use to.
To those with eyes that can see such things. It has been said that the pathway they walk is their minds ability to create.
Though beings with minds raised by mundane lifestyles rarely had the ability to see such things.
The lack of believing in what one could see or couldn't was something only children of mundane born seemed capable of.
Thus in return those that could reach Eden by Eden blood or Eden ore tended to use airships.
Yes hard to believe they couldn't imagine a path to walk upon but mundane species are after all simple minded in times of aw struck...
However one should take note that if you are not in the presence of an Eden born time can and will catch up to you...If you are not careful of course but that's something to worry about only when you see the Time raptures.
What are time raptures?!
Well I mean we are getting a little off subject but since you just have to know....
Time raptures are dark manifestations of magical energy rumored to the left overs of Eden souls. Much like the dust and Keios the Pixion and Ullarie have.
However this is energy forgotten, left behind to never fully be able to merge back with Eden's energy. These Time raptures are beings waiting to find a way to be reborn, and as such will try and meld with Mundane beings.

Back to the story...since you are so eager to try and get me off track.
The Riftling world though if you ignore the Time Raptures and the doom and gloom that follows them is feather lovely. In fact it was lovely enough and out of most the mundane creatures way to make a kingdom out of it. Which is exactly what the first Lord of Eden did. In fact it was said that a pocket opened from the vast space in which the Riftling resided in. Stepping out a being of sure pure raw power those that followed his suit all but admired him as a God.
They said with the snap of his fingers pillars were formed from nothing, the very energy that swirled around this plain would slowly solidify to create a floating foundation.
What time passed none knew, for time followed far differently then the land they once came from. A land they would no longer speak about to reminisce upon.
A world was inhabited and a kingdom became made. Living within a peaceful and forgotten realm of magic long forgotten.
It was rumored though that those that created and found Eden seemed content with their world…their life. However their king spoke of voices….of dreams. Of a being that came to them and though he could not see them fully within his mind. He heard the flutter of wings and claimed he felt the magical touch of something that shimmered and glowed. Many believed him to be a god and as such worshipped if not followed suit with him. For those that did not well they were disposed of and forgotten much like the world they originally came from.
However many many years later the Eden bloodline’s would continue this endeavor of creating the perfect species. Though those from the Eden bloodline and households all seem to whisper about rumored curses and unfulfilled fates.
I suppose one must ask what exactly did he here? I mean I dont know about all of you reading this but I’m very curious on where they came from. I know it makes you wonder what exactly they are if not fae lines right? Well I have to get back to my books. However stop by sometime I’m sure I’ll have more stories to tell you about when it comes to The Riftling. -
Birth of light and dark
Many have believed that the Pixion were created by those that built Eden.
Unknowing to those that are not ancients that that is far from the actual truth.
For the Pixion they have always been since recorded Eden history…slaves. Though powerful and stunning in their own ways whatever came before them had been erased from all known history.
Or was it?
Let’s travel back to before Eden’s time, before it had been called such a place.
Madras a birth given name to the now Eden world.
When magic meant you were the only being of actual power.
When balance did not exist alongside with

When life and death were the only beings aiding in creating a rather chaotic balance.

“Their power only comes in three. One must be able to see with eyes unclouded by fantasized glee.”
The first triplets to be born, the first set of Pixion to bloom abilities none had ever seen.
Fated in mainting a balance of magic so unknown to those of the land that it would alter the very outcome of future stories.
Alluring as life was and mother to several different children.
Her most powerful and most likely prized of all her children were the fated three.
Though many would disagree since she had hid them away from the world once they had bloomed.
Never to be seen or heard from again lest not in the wake realm. Her reasoning behind this is one not even the Fated are said to know. Some say it was due to their abilities and what could be done. Other’s claimed that Life herself was not able to control them or change their mindsets and so she had to “keep them in check”.
Keeping them away from any physical interactions with others minus themselves.
Maybe it was a form of manipulation to keep them lacking social abilities like most needed. Perhaps it was fear of not wanting them corrupted? Whatever the case actually was they were tucked away and over time forgotten to the waking world.
Though to be fair there are plenty of pages, artist pieces and journals of interactions in the beaming realm with beautiful Pixion unlike any others. Aiding, guiding and warning random Pixion throughout time it seems. Though none could ever recall their names, who they actually were or their abilities.
In fact it seems many over time have crossed beaming paths with at least one of the triplets. Yet due to their unique abilities none will ever recall WHO they are outside the wake world.
Why had the first triplets ever to be born within their race be hidden? What had happen to them after blooming? Was it true they had abilities that could read into memories and possible paths?
Tucked away though hidden from wake eyes the true balance always watches.
The Time Raptures
What is a Time Rapture
Well really the question isn’t what is but who were. Time raptures are sort of like energy based phantoms from past Eden borns. Typically these souls are the forgotten or lost energies of Eden beings that should have passed over to the Ether life.
However these so called phantom/souls what have you. Are actually searching for a host that are similar to the concept of a virus. Spreading through weaken states of body and mind. Much like a demonic possession they can aid or may sicker the host they infect…erm take over.
However they can only take over Eden blood lines. This does not mean just free born blood lines. No this means any being born within Eden’s riftling.
Luckily they are rather weak and though they look terrifying by all forms when viewed. They are pretty much harmless so long as you are not mentally or physically wounded. It’s rumored small abrasions and cuts are nothing to fret. However the more severe the wounds the higher chance of said body not being able to protect itself from a Time Rapture invasion.
Signs of a Timpe Rapture host
Some of the key signs to look for in your Eden companion that are commonly seen
`Small shifts in their personalities. It may seem minor at the time, but over time they grow bigger and more noticeable. Some of the most common seen personality swaps are passive to rage or joy to sorrow that flip on a time and usually for no given reason.
`Ticks or fidgeting that seems out of place (ie: flexing of fingers, jaw ticks, blinking a lot etc)
`Hyper aggression and overly possessive. Typically seen towards a another Eden being or Eden object.
If you have not cleansed their body within The Fountain of Orid during the fazing of their hyper aggression and possessive nature. The chances of separating the entity from it’s host will become less likely to happen without actually killing them.
`The host has now developed a very noticeable and present personality that is “different” than theirs. Usually during this time is when the Time Rapture will be able to use their body to some degree as well.
`However it tends to last only seconds if minutes before the host aka the Eden born is able to gain control again.
This makes it harder to pull the Time Rapture from their body the longer they are fused at this point.
`The longer they remain together the more time the Time Rapture has to learn to take over that body for longer periods of time. It is unlikely they could fully take over the host body permanently however they will make it known who they were and what they will do.
`They will be two beings living and sharing one body though it has only been rumored there have been whispers that some Eden borns actually live the rest of their “Lives” in this state for fear of the latter.
If they are still within their body for a total of six Ether moons. They will only be able to become fused with their Time Rapture and Host as one. This fusion is only known by the Kiik’s(elders) of Eden and though some of survived the fusion many have suffered a fate worse then their souls reaching the Ether. They become apart of true slumber and are never able to be apart of The Riftling again.
`Some Eden borns will remain with their Time Rapture because the fear of actual true death is overwhelming.
`All Time Raptures are NOT good in any way. Each Time Rapture was an Eden that died a horrible death.
`Most Time Raptures are rumored to be part of the main families of Eden or their slaves
`All Time Raptures are unable to let go of something “they cannot remember”. It becomes their driving force to not be accepted into the Ether.
`If a Time Rapture is purged from their host (unless they are an overly strong one) will fall to a True Slumber.
Time Rapture invasions are not easy for Time Raptures. In truth they most likely try to take hold of an Eden anytime they travel. Though that are not mentally or physically weaken however do not seemed fazed by them in the slightest of ways.
Everyone that lives within the Realm Of The Riftling knows never to bring in wounded outsiders. Only once in their history did that happen when an Eden Time Rapture took hold of a none Eden body and the outcome was something thrown from their books and most history.
All Eden borns know never to travel hurt no matter what it’s for. Some of taken this to the extreme and have lost good Eden members because of this.
The fear of being consumed by a Time Rapture is actually something ALL EDEN BORNS have unless they are that mentally unstable.
