    Starbase 626 is a Federation station situated at the border between the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, originally put in place as an outpost for early warning of Klingon activity. After peace was declared between the Federation and the Klingon Empire, it became a frequent stop for merchants, craftsmen, and traders of all sorts and levels of reputability. During the Dominion War, it was also an important relay point.

    The year is 2410, according to the Earth calendar. While Federation space is now relatively peaceful, there is still plenty of peril, passion, and plot to be found on this station.

    The year 2410 is several decades past the end of the Star Trek television shows. Some points of reference:
    • From 2319–2369, the Cardassian Union occupied Bajor.
    • In 2364, the Federation made first contact with the Q Continuum. In that same year, the Romulans re-establish contact with the Federation.
    • In 2365, the Federation made first contact with the Borg.
    • In 2367, the Battle of Wolf 359 sees the Federation battling the Borg. Jean-Luc Picard, who had been assimilated as Locutus, was recovered; Benjamin Sisko's wife was killed.
    • Also in 2367, the Federation-Cardassian war ends with an armistice. Final hostilities ceased in 2370.
    • From 2367–8, the Klingon Empire undergoes a civil war. Gowron becomes emperor and the House of Duras is discredited.
    • In 2369, The Federation took over the space station Terok Nor, renaming it Deep Space Nine.
    • In 2370, first contact between the Federation and the Dominion occurred.
    • In 2373, the Borg make a second attempt to take over the Federation (Star Trek: First Contact).
    • From 2373–2375, the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Romulan Star Empire battled The Dominion and Cardassian Union in the Dominion War. Afterward, Romulan/Federation relations deteriorated quickly.
    • In 2379, a clone of Jean-Luc Picard named Shinzon assassinated the entire Romulan Senate (and caused a terrible movie to be made); afterward, Romulan/Federation relations improved again.
    • In 2387, Romulus was not destroyed by a supernova. An alternate timeline was not created. There is no such thing as red matter.

    This is a fan-based RP group in the Star Trek universe. It makes no claim of ownership over Star Trek, etc., etc. It is just a fan work.

    This group will be focused on community-driven RP where all members work together to create interesting and engaging plots. It is not focused on player-versus-player action, but rather player-versus-situation action, although of course sometimes these lines will be blurred, crossed, or erased altogether.

    Because our setting is past the television series and movies, we grant ourselves license to make some stuff up for dramatic purposes.
